Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

Reading Town out of the FA Vase after an entertaining 3-2 loss to Larkhall Athletic. Both sides looked fairly well matched though Larkhall had a bit more width with an attacking 442 formation with Town lining up with a 433. The first half was dominated by the windy conditions but Town failing to tak...

Re: Villas-Boas wants B Teams in Football League

What about the idea of having a Football Combination League played on a Saturday afternoon like the old days?

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

I'm going to take in the FA Vase tie Reading Town v Larkhall. Very likely to be more away supporters than home ones unless a few hundred others are also giving the Hull game a miss!

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

Stuka Now Stevenage have quickly risen up to being a League club, can anyone suggest a non-league club for me to keep an eye on? How about Metropolitan Police or something?

Re: FA Cup 3rd round

Gillingham could turn Stoke over imo. Also Stevenage on current form will fancy their chances against us.

Also Brighton might find Wrexham a bit tricky - Wrexham are top of the conference and Brighton don't like the physical side of the game so could be one to look out for.

Re: Football Banning Orders

Pointless stat;
There were 0 arrests for pitch incursion outside of stadia :o

Also looking at the stats for arrests last season interesting to note MK Dons and Leyton Orient in League 1 and, Bury and Morcambe in League 2 presumably these were at games involving the respective clubs?

Re: Football Banning Orders

Grimsby's banning order numbers seems excessive compared to number of potential supporters. Is this still from the day when they got relegated (and reacted badly)? Also, Dirk, have the FSF or related organisations ever campaigned against the release of arrest statistics? I've always thought it that...

Re: Non - League thread 2011/12

I went to the Reading Town v Cowes Sports game. Even game between two sides who attempted to play football on a very difficult pitch and a first half dominated by a strong wind across the ground from the railway line. 1-0 was probably a fair result, Cowes were fairly wasteful in the final third of t...

Tad Showbiz The football club name change is probably in the bid documents for city status

No, it isn't. Why would it be?

You must lead an exciting life if you've read the document.

Madejski is involved and the council can't wait to plaster city over everything connected to Reading.
