Yep, a true classic. Thing is though (and what most people forget), for the first 75 or so minutes until they scored it wasn't anywhere near being a 'classic'. Given it was a late start to the second half, their goal went in at around 4:40 and we all thought we'd blown it and McGhee was finally goi...

Bikey - DEFINITELY must stay - anyone who wants him to go after his performance against Charlton needs a brain transplant. He doesn't know where to stand on the pitch! I'm sorry, but I think it's you who needs the brain transplant! Remind me how Darren Bent managed to fair up against Bikey o...

Re: Do you think we tried our best to win against Charlton?

As there seem to be conflicting opinions - mainly, it seems from those who watched on TV rather than those who were there, consider carefully the team choice and the way we played. No. It was lazical, lifeless effort APART from the last 10 minutes when we started to up our game. The last 30 minutes...

its true.... there is a new class of supporter in Reading now!! this is where passion is lost!! hence sitting down all game ad moaning, always getting what they want, spoiltcunts!! it will kill our club....im not saying we need a bigger 'mob' just we dont attract the traditional stereotypical footy...

I didn't watch the game or any of the highlights. I only read a little bit about the game this morning.

I knew it'd be dross. With Mr Whippy in charge I have no intention or desire to put up the shovel of shite that is being currently offered.

Can anyone stick up a video on youtube of some of the goals from that season? - there were many amazing ones - mostly scored by Osborn. Lovell and Nogan at the end of the season were quite a partnership! The only reason I've kept our video player is so I can watch 'Record Breaking Royals'. Some out...

no question, osborn was class - far, far better than sidwell. osborn's passing was gorgeous, i've not seen anyone else spray a 30 yard ball with the outside of their boot, putting spin on it so that when bounced, it angled into the path of the on-rushing winger - amazing!!! That and the perfect lob...

Oh my days. I'd forgotten how good the 2nd and 3rd goals were, particularly the 2nd.

Fantastic.

IF he remembers that the game of football is played for 90 minutes rather than just the second half then I'd say go for it.

Whilst they are on a dodgy run (like us) we always seem to struggle against the idiots from Portsmouth, particulary at Fratton Park. Likewise our record against them at home isn't the best either, I remember lot's of dross served up in the late 90's. Bit of bogey team for us, I think we'll be lucky ...

I remember it vividly too - almost every match very clearly. What I remember also is the fact that in the first week of January we were comfortably mid-table, in the 5th round of the League Cup and still in the FA Cup. Then George Cain of Bootle gave that crap decision in the Boro match against Tre...

Re: Who should be voted the Premiership player of the year?

I'd expect it to be Drogba, scored a hatful of goals and most probably responsible for keeping Chelsea's season on course when they were having problems. Ronaldo may be having a good season, but he's been playing with a team that is also functioning ok. I don't think he deserves it at all. What you...

Re: Dave 'Whinger' Kitson

When is he going to stop moaning about tackles against him? First Riggott, then Upson, now Denilson. Maybe he should concentrate on improving his own game, which at the moment is pretty poor. Yes they were all bad challenges but get on with it Dave, thats football. Sorry if this has been mentioned ...
