Re: Weekend football 26th & 27th

That's 7 posts in a row mf, WTF is going on? Are you arguing with yourself or can I not see other people's replies? And saying Ianroyal doesn't know anything about football is hardly ground breaking. He's having a Snowball moment. Overposting and being wrong at the same time? Yep, sounds like Snowb...

Re: Ups and Downs '11

Do Bournemouth still dislike us? The last time I remember them playing was when Caskey brought us back to 3-3 and they hated us. It was the game where the helicopters delivered the match ball. We were already in the playoffs, and if Bournemouth had beaten us and Wigan failed to win we would have be...

Right. So external factors can only be used when it backs up your case, and can be dismissed when they don't?

Royalee's not related to Snowball is he?

Re: Weekend football 19th/20th Feb 2011

Bloke I work with is a Cambridge Utd fan and absolutely hates Crawley Town. His biggest beef is that their owners are just throwing money at the team, way beyond what anyone else in the Conference can afford. Kind of hit home when Crawley brought on a striker they'd paid £300,000 for. and yet he wo...

If you want goals, the Conference Prem looks like the place too be:

Tamworth 2-5 AFC Wimbledon
Wrexham 2-7 Gateshead

Were Wrexham playing a bunch of kids or something?

Gillespie at the mad stad was quite special. Not from the start of play as he came on as a sub when the ball went out for a throw in He had been sent off before the throw in was taken Indeed - as Baines mentioned earlier in the thread. I've since his 'official' time-on-pitch quoted variously as 0 s...

Join whom*?

I think we should go easy on Spacey for a while. After all, it can't be easy for him coping with the fact that not only do Reading have a Frenchman playing for them, but he even scored a goal for us on Tuesday.

Re: Generic clubs in financial crisis Thread

Businesses can offset VAT they pay out against VAT they get in. Assuming the numbers quoted are ex-VAT, and that transfer fees are VAT-able [1] , they would receive £10m on the Torres transfer, against which they could offset the £7m from the Carroll transfer, leaving a net of £3m to pay. Newcastle ...

Get off that high horse. I was just pointing you to the discussion that's already taking place, so you can read up on what other people on here have said. That's if you're interested in it which, given that you started the thread, I'm guessing you are.

Re: So i guess Blackpool will now get fined?!

Angry. Arsenal made 8 changes when they played Wigan on 29 Dec. They have to get fined too now, surely? Or is the Premier League's position that Bendtner is better than Harewood so Arsenal are allowed? As I posted earlier in the thread, just where do you draw the line? Thing is, where do you...
