Re: Are Leicester genuine title contenders?

I don't think Leicester's last 3 games are that difficult based on this seasons form. Everton/United (providing they beat WH) will have a cup final on the mind. Everton aren't exactly pulling up trees this season anyway, nor have United. Chelsea will have zilch to play for and although they've impro...

Re: Captain Required

One thing I noticed was that when Cooper walked down the tunnel against Palace he threw his shirt on the floor and Ferdinand ran straight down the tunnel after him which shows that there is some sort of bond between the players.

Re: Captain Required

We need a mobile midfielder as captain. Paul McShane leads by example and is a good player, but we need someone getting around cajoling and encouraging. Nothing comes from the bench and i am convinced the spark missing is down to a lack of cohesion. At times we look like a team in 3 parts. Anyone g...

Re: Bottle, Heart, Commitment, Guts: "The Reading DNA"

This is what Brian's good at though - building a squad of individuals that make a great team. This squad is not his, there are too many loan players and journeymen taken on by a different manager in an attempt to win promotion this year, which didn't work out and is not like us as a club. He needs ...

Re: Back from the game - Palace

Though we were unlucky to lose in such fashion with the penalty - Palace deserved to go through. We could have quite easily have been 2/3-0 down by HT and it could have been game over. Al-Habsi - 9. Played very well, a few camera saves but every keep makes them Gunter - 7. Made some good blocks and ...

genome I'll be honest, I've never really understood that "shagging your sister" chant. Is there backstory I've missed?

Re: Team for Palace (H)

Cox started v WBA so it's not an impossibility he'll start on Friday given the paucity of experienced striking options at the club. I know it's quite plausible that he will play but that doesn't mean I want him to. The guy above was suggesting he would want him to play. Cox. I mean, come on. I thin...

Re: Team for Palace (H)

Sounds like McShane and HRK are both fit but Vydra will only make the bench.

FWIW, I would go for..

Al-Habsi

Gunter
McShane
Cooper
Obita

Norwood
Hector
Quinn

HRK
Cox
John

Re: BFTG Huddersfield

quickwingerswife I'm still waiting for an apology from McDermott. He says he's glad it's out the way, no comfort to fans who were there. Cup tie is no excuse, an expensive side was out there. Worse than Adkins or Clarke evever were even in their direst monotony.

Re: Palace tickets FA Cup

Replay would be on either 22nd/23rd March. There are no Champions League games that week so won't be any problems playing it that day. On another note, has anyone noticed that we're playing Saturday & Tuesday every week on April with the exception of the final Tuesday? Isn't the 22nd &a...

Gunny Fishcake Raw, ugly and looks like he could be quite good . Not afraid to get stuck in and looks like he could be a cult hero

If you see him in the hotel after game he's often surrounded by quite dodgy characters !

Re: Back On the train- Charlton

I can see now why people are more attracted to Tuesday night away at Rotherham rather than a mass Saturday outing to a local club Absolutely. And you can sit where you want without moronic monotone chants from cagoule-clad clowns Really? We took 400 up to Rotherham this year, full of moaning star b...

Re: Back On the train- Charlton

For me there's no way you can drop Hector. Since he's come into the side we've looked better defensively (with the exception of Saturday) and he's growing in that role with every game that goes by. Norwood has tailed off the last couple of weeks but I'm not surprised when you look at how many games ...
