Looks like RFC have blinked first: http://www.readingfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/NewsDetail/0,,10306~871744,00.html Looks like a little bit of fan power can work wonders! Following the recent announcement regarding radio commentary for the 2006/7 Premiership season, the Club has released the follow...

There's also no way 107 can afford £100k cash, so who is he trying to kid? As the arrangement is between 2 companies in the same group, he has probably maximised it for tax efficiency (avoidance). My point exactly. This deal has nothing to do with the long-term future of the club, but everything to...

Maguire I'd just like to say that I find Mr. Madejski's attitude rather disappointing, not to mention surprisingly short-sighted.

And that is all.

Indeed - it's the sort of thing I'd have expected from a plum like Rupert Lowe.

In purely business terms - how many companies in the entetainment business would forego a potential extra 500000 listeners just for a measly £35k? His continual complaints over players being completely money driven with no regard for loyalty (where is the loyalty to BBCRB?) progressively ring rather...

Madejski replies http://www.getreading.co.uk/news/2002/2002751/madejski_why_i_ditched_the_beeb Pretty feeble response if you ask me. '£65,000 barely pays one of my players a month's salary'. Well, £100,000 only just does so what's the difference? He does sound rather rattled and very close to losin...

The Evening Post Reading 107 managing director Jeff Lee said: “This is great news for Reading 107. Our coverage of the biggest season in Reading Football Club’s history will be second to none.”

Well duh! When you have a monopoly it's pretty hard not to.....

But I'm sure they'll still manage.

I actually think its shocking that the club are being so tight fisted as to stop fans in places such as Thatcham, Newbury, Basingstoke etc to listen to commentary. Reading 107 is a sad excuse for a radio station and I shalln't listen to the commentary at all. JM... wake up and smell the coffee... t...

Stranded The majority of those live in Reading, which 107 covers (and I would imagine they stream on the internet as well)

Alternatively, due to "other factors" perhaps 107 were always going to get it regardless of what BBCRB offered.

Stranded 107 have announced dedicated shows to Reading FC every Monday and Friday as part of the deal. Maybe they are taking it more seriously now and an increase in quality will result.

Excellent - two new dedicated shows. One for each listener?

Re: BBC Berks Live commentary is no more........

Reading 107 have got the exclusive rights for next season ending the clubs long term partnership with BBC Berks. Apparently they wouldn't pay enough money. B*STARDS!! 107 is the pits! What's more, unless they're going to stream it over the web, Of course they'll stream it over the web. £35 please s...

Re all the negative comments - I seem to recall similar outbursts last year (sleeves, tone of blue, blue shorts etc..). They've had a go at addressing the first two points, but the off-set style is obviously too trendy/ challenging for the average inhabitant of this site. . Indeed, it is just so cu...

You can send in the discount voucher with an order from any time up to the 12th so you would still be able to get the discount.
