Re: Corner Watch

Is this really such a weakness in the team, or is it just an anomaly that will work itself out over time? Studies have shown that a football team can expect to score roughly one in 70 corners (far fewer than many of us might think!) and so whilst our current spell is certainly poor, is it really the...

Re: Wolves Predictions

My theory is that away teams are more likely to win on Boxing Day than at any other point in the season. Think about it, ours lads had Christmas morning, perhaps then had a light training session, before being put on a coach to some hotel where their diet and behaviour will have been controlled. The...

Re: Reading 4 Plymouth 3

I've lost count of the number of times my Dad has spoken about this game, it must have been incredible to witness. I don't suppose there is footage of the game floating around anywhere? I had a quick search on YouTube without any success, it would be great if I could show him the highlights again, a...

Re: Is this the end for Oliver Norwood?

Not only is Ollie the best passer in our side, he's also the best reader of an opposition pass, and is incredibly effective at intercepting the ball.

As such, he may not be the biggest in the tackle (hello Mrs Norwood), but I can certainly see where he would 'slot into' a two man midfield.

Re: Welcome back Brian?

The reason placing someone like Dave Royal on ignore doesn't work is because not only do people keep quoting his posts, but his very presence keeps diverting threads off topic, like the last three bloody pages of this one! Now even I'm bloody doing it, and I believe I know who the annoying little sc...

Re: Eurocake & Carabou

Yeah, that's the bloke m8. He used to operate pre-match only, selling small time stuff like rumblestix full of laughing gas for a fiver from behind the McDonald's drive-thru. Since the Thai owners have come in he's got some new supply routes, and now he only deals in the hard stuff; Carabao, Crack, ...

Re: Eurocake & Carabou

Eurocake isn't a specific cake, rather a brand, whose name is plastered over a whole produce range of own labelled products from cake slices to brownies. I guess they are kind of like McVities or Mr Kippling in that regard, the only difference being you can't seem to buy Eurocake anywhere. That said...

Re: BFTG - Brighton

Some saying Blackman diving or going to ground a lot. Not sure as I didn't notice ... Anyone Else see that? Yeah, noticed this at least twice today and on numerous occasions over the course of this season. It seems whenever he's lost control of the ball, and knows he's given up possession, he has a...

Re: Pointless statto questions

HRK's stats, if you're right, are AMAZING According to your stats he has had 160 games where he's been subbed on or subbed off, 160 games where he didn't play the whole 90 minutes Just checking I see he's had 204 appearances, but only played 90 minutes 44 times This surprises me, as to my mind he's...

Re: Pointless statto questions

5. Anybody beat the 15 minutes or so it took the sub a substitute (Martin Williams I think)? We are possibly thinking of the same incident, but what first came to my mind upon reading your question was an away game in the early 2000's against Cambridge, where Rougier was brought on as a substitue a...

Re: Reading FC - this is embarrasing

it got some airtime on national radio today, during the first hour of Greg James' Radio 1 show.

Naturally he took the piss out of it at first, but played it a few more times throughout the show, and even he admitted there was something quite catchy about it! #eurovision2016

Re: Ground share

I can 100% rule-out Brentford ground sharing with us at Madejski Stadium.

They've already got an informal agreement somewhere else, but probably not a wise idea for me to say where as I don't think it's public knowledge yet.
