Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

If we stuck by him we would have been relegated - Wrong manager for the club at that moment in time. But we'd have probably been promoted the next season and be in the Prem by now if we'd stuck with him ... but agree that at the time he seemed the wrong choice. He was unfortunate that he came in wh...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Hendo Looks like Nigel Pearson has come into being favourite for the Watford job.

Indeed. His first game in charge is their trip to Liverpool next week.

Re: BFTG Birmingham

Hound Joao undoubtedly the best of the forwards. Actually able to control a football which helps

Shame he couldn’t hit the target when given a glorious opportunity by Mr Yiadom a little earlier in the game. Still he did get to the consolation so 1 out of 2 chances I suppose is ok.

Re: BFTG Birmingham

The shape change oxf*rd us. I think comparisons to last weeks shape change are pointless. Came at a different point in the match. Also I think the first 11 was a mistake. As someone pointed out we looked shit in the first half last week with this 11, why would we expect any different this week? Hav...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by Martin Hicks

In his brief period Charlie Adam showed us exactly what we were missing - some class and creativity in midfield. Quite rare that can directly blame tactics for a result, but today the switch to 4-4-2 was disastrous. It’s a shame he can’t last 90 minutes on that form. But he is ideal for the last 30...

Re: BFTG Birmingham

Not bothered by that utter shambles in the slightest. It’s Birmingham at home in the league and Reading are always bad in this fixture so was expecting it. Now that it’s out the way I’m looking forward to being able to kick on at Barnsley and start turning this season into something positive.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/50634040 One to keep an eye on... Players at Macclesfield Town have issued an ultimatum to the club's owner that they will not train, or play on Saturday, if they are not paid wages they are owed by 18:00 GMT on Monday, BBC Sport understands. Re: MATCHWATCH : Birmingham City (h) sponsored by Martin Hicks

Remember that game well, Birmingham's first away win all season IIRC  Yet strangely, probably wasn't in our worst three performances that season That being said, the dross in 2016 under McDermott against them wasn't much better It's weird because we always seem to score at St Andrews Agreed. ...

Hendo Really good pricing for this one, as expected.

Are tickets on sale now?

Also 3.01pm kick off, is that a typo or an actual thing?

Hendo
Stranded With Everton now in the relegation zone, Silva surely gone in the next couple of days. Moyes to return?

That bottom half of the Prem is so close, a win could take them up too 12th.

Re: TV rights

Bad news is they've got Clive Tyldesley in as their chief commentator. What's with the Clive Tyldesley beef? Who would you have at the helm, so to speak? Best commentators for me were the late Peter Jones on the radio and Barry Davies on the TV. These days they’re either just plain annoying or so b...

Re: FA Cup away day memories

Man City in 93. 1-1 and deserved the replay. Another step in McGhee's revolution. Scott Taylor scored but we lost the replay of course (Niall Quinn??) Talking of City,1968 0-0 at Maine Road, anticipating a giant-killing back at Elm Park. Little did we know that City had a real off-day in the first ...

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

Perfect draw. A chance for the U23’s to show what they can offer and makes the January fixtures splendid, all relatively short trips and more chance of getting a run of form together. Why are we playing the under 23's? We don't need to rest players, we won't go up and we won't go down either. A cup...

Re: FA Cup 3rd Round Draw

No doubt good pricing for the game as well. Damn sight better than getting lumbered with another Championship team or a visit to a PL side. Let’s hope it’s not an embarrassment.
