Re: Season tickets 2015/16 renewals . . .

Just renewed my season ticket I am not 65 until December so expected to pay full price in the East stand but got an email from the club saying I could renew at the over 65 price as a thank you from the club for my support. Great gesture from the club and much appreciated. I also got an under 7 free...

Re: Oliver Norwood i like him

I don't think anyone would dispute that Norwood is a player with a vast amount of ability and potential, however, I feel that he isn't suited to Championship football alot of the time. Norwood is a player who likes to dictate the game, spraying long balls across the pitch with accuracy. Unfortunatel...

Re: Safe standing end?

Fair enough, although it seems odd to expect 2 people to stand in each space . Does this mean they wouldn't go with the foldable seats model, just rip the seats out and stick crush barriers in ? Effective answer is the same though, the foundations are plenty strong enough. I think that particular m...

Re: Safe standing end?

Genuine question - would a safe standing end have to be totally rebuilt at the Mad Stad given that it would (probably) over double the capacity of the said stand and it could withstand the weight? Also - in the current position Reading are in - would a safe standing end make the other stands look v...

Re: Safe standing end?

I'd imagine it'd be the North or South stand to be honest, would make the most sense.

Re: Safe standing end?

Club did release a statement when the discussion had more legs to it around the time Bristol City introduced it, can't be bothered to find it though. Basically the club are in favour of safe standing and would want to implement it, but due to the increase in capacity to the stand it would pretty muc...

Re: Anyone eye any strikers we should sign?

someone like Bamford obviously ticks a lot of boxes, but they are still likely to be a bit of a gamble in the same way as our own youngsters are. I'm sorry but how is Bamford a gamble? 14/15 3rd place Middlesborough - 38 Apps 17 Goals 13/14 3rd place Derby - 21 Apps 8 Goals (6 month loan) Still onl...

Re: Anyone eye any strikers we should sign?

Basically kids would probably prefer to sign for the likes of Chelsea whereas they stand a better chance of making first team football signing for Bristol etc..... Bit of an obvious one really. Trouble is a lot of the kids who do go to teams like Chelsea or Arsenal end up getting hung out to dry at...

No Fixed Abode

This the new kit then? Decent.

Although I think it would look better if the sponsor was lower down, looks a little bit cluttered.

Re: Season tickets 2015/16 renewals . . .

My old man decided to take his girlfriend to a game recently, think it was Cardiff, and thought he'd be a jammy git and buy her a concessions ticket (she's mid 30s but could probably pass for late 20s). Needless to say she got pulled up going through the gates and he had to go back to the ticket of...

Re: Did anyone stay for the lap of appreciation?

Terrible game, didn't stay for the lap of appreciation. Left at the final whistle, didn't boo, clapped the players on my way out but I didn't feel appreciated after that performance and the players didn't deserve anymore appreciation than they've had thus far. Despite their performances not being go...

He said 'I got beaten by Sanchez'
I just smiled and gave him a Vegemite sandwich

I'd actually be up for singing that.

He comes from a land down under
But we forgive him for his blunder
Even though it made us chunder....
Oh Adam Fed, Adam Federici.......

Last line needs a bit of work?

Re: Summer Clear-out

If you were going to compare Kuhl to anyone it would have to be Norwood, which probably explains we he isn't getting any game time either.

Re: Name six ''must keeps'' for the summer

Just to point out - Tish is a centre mid and Fosu is a winger. Unless you were just stating that we have talent in the youth.. . My bad, GH.... of course, what I should have said is pacey skillful *forwards* - plus Tish who gets forward well (EDIT: when he can be arsed!). And yes, the young'uns are...

Re: FAO Federici

But you're making out that Pogrebnyak's misses are as blatant as Federici's, that's all I'm commenting on. As for Federici keeping us in the game, I'd argue that he made saves he would probably expect to make. A couple of very good saves yes, but not quite the worldies I keep hearing about just bec...

Re: Well done on cup run but fans deserve better

I'm not one to go searching through the stats to prove my point but I'm pretty certain that if you compared 'Games started / Goals Scored' then Cox would be the most prolific striker we've had this season with the exception of Murray. And if you compared 'Games started / Goals conceded' then Cox wo...
