Re: Football League Show

Misleading. The Leeds game was dire first half, better second half. Coventry was garbage both halves (apart from the first 15-20 minutes).

Fairly glaring omission from that list (which, granted, has already been pointed out)

Re: World Cup Bid

I just had a look at the Qatar bid and 6 of the stadiums will be in one city - Doha. Only one other city has a large population. The others are around 30,000 population. That's like Woodley being a host city. Oh and then there is the other host city that they haven't even built yet - it is still a ...

It was far busier at the Liverpool game last season and I didn't have to queue to get in.

Have to say that that was one of the worst debuts I've seen for us for quite a while.

Re: Back from the Game - Palace

An OK performance, with the stand-out players for Reading being Long, Jem and Harte. Mills looked determined to get sent off about half way through the first half, but calmed down a bit after that. Cummings did OK, not brilliantly well but not awful - which in itself is a massive improvement on last...

Re: England vs Bulgaria - ITV1 8pm

Who else saw dear old Boris on TV with his lovely wig on? Maybe we should sign his son!! Dear old Boris, a Reading legend, well he was when his wig nearly came off during one game. He's done very well for himself as the record cap winner and now head of the Bulgarian FA. As Reading goalkeeper he wa...

Re: Let's talk Tactics

Rodgers tried using Howard as a more advanced midfielder on occasions last season & he did not look suited to the role at all (& is probably the origin of a lot of the bad perceptions of him). So, a return to a straightforward 442 looks most likely.

Re: Gylfi is leaving Reading

LoyalRoyalFan Rodgers has to be given a fair bit of credit for Sigurdsson.

He was the one who gave him the opportunity in the first place.

Yes, but he did keep dropping and subbing him. I think (said without checking) Brian always picked Gylfi if he was fit.

Re: Bar 1871

Tried this last night for the first time & it's v. pleasant. Bar service is slower than in the concourse though and the prices verge on the extortionate - £4 a pint of guiness and £2.50 for a cup of coffee.

Re: Bus Services to Mad Stad Axed-Reinstated 1st 2 games see p8

Good news. The family ticket thing looks like a reasonable idea too (although parking is still cheaper in this case). Anyone know if the buses are running for the Northampton cup game? I'm going to be taking up the offer to try out Bar1871 for this game, but I doubt that the bus will get me there ea...

That is tragic. Only diagnosed in April, I think, so it must have been particularly aggressive form of cancer - either that or he ignored the symptons for ages.

Pearce allowed himself to be turned far too easily on many occasions yesterday. He must stick closer to the player he's marking.

Stadium upgrades We are in the process of upgrading all concourse TVs and looking to install TV outside the East Stand, within the smoking compound. In the toilets, roller towels have been replaced with hand gel sanitizers. We are also in the process of fitting mirrors in ladies' toilets. I must be...

Re: James Henry on way out?

Good luck & hope it works out for him. Did seem like his belief in his abilities was greater than he was able to demonstrate but it's always a shame when someone who's worked their way through the ranks isn't able to make a firm place in the first team.
