Re: Worst crowd

Still got a bit to go to beat our lowest ever league attendance.

1900 or so in a torrential downpour and a rarity in front of the TV cameras against Preston in 1982, I think?

Re: Elm Park Years

In terms of attendances at EP, whilst an incredible 24,046 (the official recorded attendance) squeezed in for the Southampton cup game in 1978 - I was there and remember just seeing a sea of heads - just how they got 33,042 in there for the record gate against Brentford in 1927 in a largely 'the sam...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Sean Evers

Anyone remember it ?? 1st match at the Madejski stadium versus Luton 22nd August 1998. We won 3-0 with Grant Brebner scoring the 1st goal. A repeat of the scoreline on Saturday would be nice. Yep. Didn't Fleck get one too? One of only two teams to beat us in the 106 season too. I saw both of them :...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Plymouth Argyle (a) sponsored by Glen Little

Nice move that. Fast and concise. Good ball from Baldock. Can’t help but feel he has something to offer still Anyway lovely for Meite to get a couple and back to being our equal leading scorer. Do him a world of good He still had a hell of a lot to do to bury that. Good finish Bad finish unfortunat...

How much better does the kit look with the traditional white shorts and socks?

Why oh why can they not revert to this permanently?

Re: Favourite signing of the summer

What was the (League?) Cup game where Lita "deliberately" ballooned his penalty into row Z in an apparent sulk about not playing League Games.

Had he scored we would've gone through.

Can't really see where else to post this and I don't want to start a new thread, but hearty congratulations to Derby on going on to get beaten by Villa in the P/O Final.

You all know what I mean! Especially 'mot'!

Tranmere 1 Reading 3 - PO SF 1st Leg. In all my years, this was the most perfect away performance I ever witnessed. Tranmere were played off the park and their fans showed their appreciation at the end. A brilliant, brilliant day. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MwxI5e06HXU Yeah I can't think of a ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bristol City (a) sponsored by Scott Murray

This will be high scoring. At least 3 goals in the game and will go either way. Either for us with a growing new found confidence/improved team spirit, or against us with typical back down to earth mis-placed expectations.

Re: That Robin Friday goal, now visible on video (sort of)

Close, but not close enough for the Fuhrer. Ball came in to Friday just outside the 'D' (23-25 yds) on the right and he had his back to goal. Still think that the closest I have seen is Thierry Henry's goal v Man Utd in 2000 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ksz6K-tJ6Nc although Friday's goal was hit...

Re: That Robin Friday goal, now visible on video (sort of)

That is a well taken goal but nothing like Fridays.

He collected the ball on his thigh outside the 'D' of the penalty area, about 25 yards from goal and with his back still to goal swung and volleyed it into the top right hand corner (from his viewpoint) of the goal.

I am reliably informed far from it's reputation as being a shlthole, Hull is actually quite a nice place. I've never been, nor am I likely to, so cannot comment further.

No matter how bizarre and desperate the new managerial appointment may be, this must be yet another new low first, him having 2 red cards in his first game. I don't see any end to the malaise and deterioration of the club. Everything is dysfunctional. From top to bottom. How many of the current squa...

Good Nobbing all of you on this.

Clexit or Clemain?

Ironic and whilst there are lesser stark similarities here, obviously, I get the feeling it'll come down to a roll of the dice in both respects and ultimately we'll probably get it wrong.
