Re: England - the future....

Fair comment and the point about two games in such a short turnaround is justified. However do you think Southgate knows his best starting line up? I think he's probably pretty close it yeah. The balance in midfield will be the main area for contention, and perhaps the best pairing at centre half. ...

Re: England - the future....

England were very poor last night. The new formation clearly didn't work and the midfield didn't get in the game for the first 45 minutes, and that left the 3 forwards far too isolated and starved of the ball. It was better in the second half, but it's very hard to regain the momentum after that fir...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Not arrested, but Harvey Elliott has been suspended for 14 days as punishment for the video that emerged last month of his calling Harry Kane a 'fcuking mong'. Hopefully he can grow up and put this behind him, as he looks to be one hell of a player. That sets a bit of a precedent for acceptable beh...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

OGS has to do the right thing and admit the job is too big for him, he's not a very good coach ultimately and can't get the best out of average players. As for who replaces him they should look to Allegri. Bung hom a load of cash in January and bring in a top player in each outfield position and ge...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

At least now with VAR there is a second opinion so a blatant dive will not yield a penalty. The way VAR is being used in the Premier League I can't see a dive ever being picked up and overturned, however blatant*. * waiting for someone to point one out that's already happened and I've not noticed!

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

Yep. 1:30 on this clip. Clearly already on holiday and barely shaken out of his daydream by Brian McClair trying to break both his ankles in the aftermath. https://youtu.be/cm9CzcbHzlY proper    And that goal built the dynasty! Worthington also set up the winner with by deflecting th...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

However, it would be nice if they could get winners medals for the opposition keepers as thanks for their massive contribution to Liverpool's triumph. I wonder if Nigel Worthington got a medal for every subsequent United trophy after playing such a vital part in their first title win by just lookin...

I think that was the first time I'd seen Tuanzebe play and yep, he looked pretty decent, especially playing out of position.

Re: The Non - League thread

Bracknell have re-signed Carl Davies and going into the Coggeshall game would appear to finally have a fully fit squad although 3 players will be missing through unavailability such as life is at amateur non league level. Bracknell have also signed striker Mitchell Parker, most recently at Hartley ...

Re: The Non - League thread

Hot news off Twitter.... https://twitter.com/Basingstoke_FC/status/1177285368133169152 They got a decent draw at Totton the other day, but are still bottom of the table with 2 points from 6 games. Sorry state of affairs - hopefully things will pick up - I don't know how their new ground is coming a...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

That's a pretty bang average side! I'm surprised to see Fred in any side to be honest. good defence, terrible midfield, the attack has a lot of 'potential' who else do they play instead of Fred? Matic? ...fook dat! Any injuries and United are totally fooked I've not seen a great deal of McTominay, ...

BR0B0T with everyone back we're not quite so shit

What do you see as United's strongest side BR0B0T? And do you think OGS has any idea of how he sees it?

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

There's something about the way he moves with the ball that reminded me of Rooney, and his debut at 16. I had a similar thought about him and Rooney. For me I think it was how simply he did things and his movement. The little move he did where he beat two men before setting up Milner was quite Roon...

Re: LOLiverpooLOL - Next Season

I watched the first half of Liverpool's game last night and, even taking into account the level of opposition, I have to say I was impressed with the young lad they bought from Fulham, Harvey Elliot. His movement, awareness and general maturity on the ball set him apart. Missed a bit of a sitter, al...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

When was the last time United bought a central midfielder who was a successful buy?

I'm not counting Pogba, for obvious reasons. The only one I can think of, since Carrick, is Herrera, who wasn't exactly an unqualified success.

Old Man Andrews Think Poch has had enough. He is just waiting for the United job to be offered to him and he will be off.

Or Real Madrid, whichever comes first.

So, another few weeks on and we're seeing plenty of goals disallowed for questionable offsides and a lack of decisions being overturned. Current impressions of VAR? I still don't think it's worth the time, effort and impact it's having on the game. How decisions like Lascelles vs Matip aren't revie...

Chalfont St Peter 2-2 Bracknell Town – 'Robins' 2 behind inside 20’ were level by HT Have it on good authority the manager would have been in serious trouble had Bracknell lost. I saw the Chairman made a well timed tweet asking for patience and a bit of togetherness. Wonder if he's regretting the s...
