Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

I don't know what it means for the club if it falls through. You don't get liquidated immediately after 1 default. It would mean the 2 points deducted, potentially administration and relegation. But all these options are better than losing Bearwood, it's great news if it forces Dai to sell the club...

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

Correct you dont know about the history of Cork City. Wind your google search forward to 2008 https://www.independent.ie/sport/soccer/beleaguered-cork-cash-in-on-doyles-clause/26492914.html I'll help you. Players leave and come. It was sad to see us sell players and yes clubs took advantage in the ...

Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

I don't know about the history of Cork City, but a quick glance on Wikipedia says they upgraded their stadium in 2006 which suggests they were hardly at death's door. Re: Wycombe will be culpable.

When Reading bought Kevin Doyle for £60k, and then bought out the remaining clauses in the contract from Cork for a pittance when they were about to go out of business, and it was obvious to everyone that he was worth multiple millions, were we culpable? Yes i suppose. But we still did it. I don't ...

Re: Sign this to stop Dai Yongge selling Bearwood to Wycombe

It won't be owned by Wycombe though. They'll just rent it and that's how the owner will make money from it. They may even try renting it to us too, as it could probably sustain 2 clubs The other option would be hawking it out by the week to someone like the Brazilian FA as a European training base ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

One thing that is puzzling me is, whoever it is that is fronting up the money for this training ground purchase, why don't they want to buy RFC plus training ground instead? Mention of some Georgian billionaire. Ok, if this person wants a training ground for £22m, why don't they want a training grou...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

As far as I can see the only way you can make sense of the decision to sell the training ground is if Dai is going to pocket that money. He would be crazy to put it in the club as it will just get squandered and he has effectively made the club unsaleable by his action. So looks to me like this is ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

I would expect player's to still put in a big effort. They've got the rest of the season to try and get themselves a contract at a new club if the worst does happen to us. They don't want to get injured tho. How many 50/50s are they going to commit to, how many times will they sprint back on 85 min...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Exactly funny how this has happened to swiftly but cant sell the club  It's sort of obvious though. A club comes with loads of outgoings, stadium rent, staff costs, players wages. A training ground facility doesnt come with those things. Much easier to sell because a lot less due diligence ne...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Wow! Exclusive talks agreed in what three days, when asset stripping, but cannot be agreed in six months when selling the club. I have never seen Wycombe Wanderers as a rival, but if this deal goes through I will be putting them on a par with Poxford and the Swinedon. Just hadn't thought the Chairb...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

If one of the parties is in legal debt to the FL then I would presume they should have some recourse if a said party then makes money out of what is the sale of a club asset. And isn't Bearwood owned by the club still, not in some private holding company like the ground (which will no doubt be sold...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

The other issue here of course is supply and demand. The club isn't going to be able to sell anyone if no-one wants them, and they won't just give them away either. Don't think there were any realistic offers for players in January other than the two that were sold. If there were offers for McIntyr...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

And wouldn't the FL have something to say about that given the amount of fines he's ignored if nothing else. You think the EFL can insert themselves between a transaction between two business people selling each other buildings? If one of the parties is in legal debt to the FL then I would presume ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

No you can't. You can't sell players to pay bills as they fall due as the stupid restraint of trade things now effectively limit clubs to only being able to buy/sell in January, June, July and August so if a club finds itself with a sudden shortfall/unforseen bill in March it can't do anything. Thi...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Jamie Hodder reporting on Twitter that exclusivity for a full sale was very close and now off the table, and the cut price deal has been agreed on basis money goes to Dai, not the club. He's usually been proved to be accurate but not sure how the money going to Dai works, is that legally possible? ...
