Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

What a sorry state of affairs. Must be demoralising for the players. At some stage they will be asking themselves what the point of even trying is. I feel bad for the players and coaching staff, but they'll move on and be fine. We're the ones who are stuck with this shit. If we go bust then not all...

Re: Weekend Football

He'd fit in at Arsenal with their way of playing a centre forward who isn't really an out and out centre forward. He'd get them a lot more goals that Jesus, Havertz and Nketiah.

I guess so. It's just utter bollocks that this round is midweek not on Saturday.

Re: Weekend Football

Feel a bit for the Maidstone fans, their big FA Cup tie getting shunted to a Monday night for TV is a bullshit decision.

Aren't you missing a league title there Brobs?
You'd have loved Klop to have come in and turned Man U round like he has Liverpool.

Re: Weekend Football

Lets not get too carried away in the romance of kids winning a cup. Liverpool's starting line up had a lot experience as well as youth. Their central defensive partnership alone cost more than £100M.

Re: Weekend Football

A three-person appeal board concluded that the independent commission which imposed the 10-point ban "made legal errors" on two grounds. It said the commission was "wrong" to punish Everton for being "less than frank" over what it told the Premier League about its new ...

Re: Weekend Football

No it’s a nonsense. I don’t care about all the logical arguments for VAR, football is an emotional game. VAR has ruined it Agreed No way would anyone have called that goal out pre-VAR All this micro-analysing of everything nowadays, from refereeing decisions to counting the number of passes each in...

Re: Weekend Football

Don't think Bradley was completely innocent. He did seem to kind of rugby tackle Chilwell when he was falling over which Chilwell then over-reacted to.

6ft Kerplunk Can't see Luton getting stuffed. Liverpool have a lot of injuries and half an eye on the cup final.

What an idiot.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

My Palace supporting mate reckons its because there's no money for bringing in players because of the stadium revamp. Hodgson should just have gone in on a short term contract, steered them away from relegation and walked off into the sunlit uplands last summer. Instead he's basically done a Warnock...

Re: Rival Watch

NathStPaul We are essentially safe now, we can start looking up. Selles has stabilised the club.

I wouldn't be too confident about that. Another lot of unpaid wages or points deduction will quickly shatter that stability and that no fault of Selles or the players.

From Despair To Where? He's only there til the end of the season. Would be madness to offer him an extension.

You say that but its happened pretty much every time he's taken a job in the last decade. See also Hodgson at Palace for further details.

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round

Is Warnock still living in Plymouth? Its almost like Mrs Warnock can take a couple of months of Neil's latest retirement before she snaps and tells him to find a new job at least 200 miles away. Take it he's on for an avoiding relegation bonus, then an 18 month contract followed by half-arsing it f...
