Re: Rival Watch

I would take survival again for the next 2 seasons if Leeds and Fulham fail to get promoted in those 2 seasons.
Speaking to my Fulham supporting mate over the weekend who seems to think that they are too rich to need to worry about FFP and they will keep all there best players.

Re: Value the Squad

This means the CAM doesn't have to be a natural "midfielder" like Swift, Barrett, Olise etc. It can also be a "second striker" dropping deep, which McNulty could feasibly play, just like Loader has this season. Very unlikely he'll feature, but he could fit in if Gomes really wan...

Re: Promotion team 'must haves'

If anything don't loan or soon-to-be out of contract players have more to prove and play for? What do you have to prove and play for, Green? Shop window maybe? They might want to prove they are good enough for the parent club. Or seeing the loan move as a step onto bigger and better things, that wo...

Re: Rival Watch

Not one to rejoice on anothers failures but I am very happy Leeds bottled. Such a classless set of fans and the bottle being thrown at Lampard really does sum up Leeds supporters.

Now let the insufferable Lampard creaming commence.

Re: Ex Players

5 years to set yourself up for life. If a footballer does go into be a shop assistant he still has plenty of a working life to get promotions etc career progression, learn new skills. But if a player is happy to sit on a decent 5 year contract and not further himself as a player I doubt he'll will w...

Re: Ex Players

We are the mugs for giving an average at best player a decent contract. He had a few game spell last season where he was looking good, after that he was very bad. He isn't the 1st footballer to see out a good contract and certainly wont be the last. And of course if you can get away with it, everyon...

Maneki Neko cracking goal that is only going to give him confidence going forward.
took it really well

Think he may have been told he needs to pull the trigger a bit more. Or gaining experience, as soon as he turned his marker he only had one thing on his mind.

Re: The Danny Loader conundrum

I have enjoyed watching Loader play. Yes at times he pisses me off by getting knocked off the ball by taking too long to decide what to do and in the position we were in, it really magnified his flaws as a player. But, he has got age on his side, we should not loan him at. Keep him here, very useful...

Re: Bristol City (A) Friday 19th April 2019 (12pm)

Hang on a minute Old Man Andrews. If £32 is nothing, why did you berate me for suggesting that we stop the Twenty’s Plenty initiative as you believe we should be flying the flag for cheaper pricing? Nobody berated you snowflake. I am not sure what your point is here either? £32 is nothing to me and...

Re: Bristol City (A) Friday 19th April 2019 (12pm)

This was the main reason for not going. £32 tickets was expected but once i realised it was a 12 KO I was out. The very early start on a over priced train, with a bag of cans was not that tempting.

Re: BFTG - Brentford

Ok so there's no question that this was a good performance by some great players under a very good manager and a system that is working. Rino, Eja, Baker all fantastic, as was everyone else. Good deserved win. Back to Eja - it's amazing how a moment of flair from him can suddenly spur us on out of ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

So why promise something they can't control is what I ask? Is it down to them to control other peoples actions? You are always gunna get the odd knob head every now and then. If it continues to attract people wanting to be nobs then yes it will have to be looked at. See it more often at away games ...

Re: Club 1871 - the What, When, Where, How, Who & Why Thread

To say the Mad stad never had atmosphere is completely wrong. It used to rock and was buzzing across both East and North stands. It used to be great fun. Yes Club 1871 creates a 'forced atmosphere' but at least its better than people sat there droning. Maybe instead of being a keyboard warriors and...

Current to go list: McNulty Bodvarsson Baldock McCleary McShane Jaakkola Walker Kelly Meyler Gunter John O'Shea Van Den Berg Aluko Popa Personally I would like to keep hold of Baldock and McCleary off that list. McNulty league depending (even though i like him for what ever reason) But the rest see...

Biter sweet for me. The worst fans are back in championship. Now have to see and here Fulham fans talk about championship football and how they are a class above the rest. Depends how you define “worst” fans. We finished 23rd last season in terms of away attendance. Only Button Abion had a worse av...

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

You can’t consider most of those ‘strikers’ as options instead of a genuine centre forward any more than you can count Yiadom and Obita as central defensive options ! There isn't really a similar player on the list to Oliviera. Certainly Loader, McNulty, Baldockare utterly different players and unl...

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

We wouldn’t partner Moore with a youth player. Neither Osho nor McIntyre are ‘youth’ players, both are 20+ and while they are inexperienced they are also no longer kids. They are a year younger the Ejaria .... Bar Novacovic there are no players coming through the Academy who are anything like Olivi...

Re: CONFIMRED - Nelson Oliveira

From a team perspective, Miazga plays is the position that we need to address immediately over the summer, once he goes, we are left with Moore partnering with either a youth player or a old clogger. So for me Miazga would be my choice. A solid defence that gets you clean sheets gets you guaranteed ...
