Re: Reading FC (Holdings) accounts 2014/15

We all have our own views and that's that. Ian makes a point but do not lose sight of the fact the The Man was a virtual unknown previous to his involvement and rose to the dizzy heights of being knighted. Dont tell me he didnt gain financially in other ways other than the football club but more by...

Re: Royal Elm Park

In the old days Green Park were 100% anti any football parking. Since they are no longer owned by the Pru I get the impression there is more willingness to cooperate. Seems daft to have hundreds of car parking spaces not used at weekends there ! Slight issue would be the restricted access roads int...

Re: How impressed are you with BMcD's return to the club?

My guess is that Donut was never going to set the world alight but steady the team to mid table obscurity. That leaves the owners to concentrate on what's important to them IE building things and making money. Although I heard a rumour the stadium expansion is still floating around and deffo in thei...

Re: Are you a fan or a customer?

We're all customers since Sky saw an opportunity to exploit peoples brand loyalty. I heard an interview not long after Sky entered football whereby the bloke said something like "The average person in the UK spends 35% of their leisure time watching TV but less than 10% of disposable income doi...

Re: Reading FC (Holdings) accounts 2014/15

No. But i was when he loaned a Football Club loads of money, bought a huge lump of land for a quid, built a stadium on it, all on loans that he took back albeit with minimal interest. And im still there buying my season tickets like i have for the past 17 years whilst witnessing some of the dross w...

Re: Royal Elm Park

Nameless The training ground planning was granted ages ago wasn't it ?
REP planning was due to be delayed until March so seems right if stuff is starting to become public. Expect the revised plans to appear before too long.

Planning has gone in for REP from the text I received.

Re: Posh Chairman confirms Thai's interfere with RFC signing

The owners are here to develop the land and make a huge wedge off it. If they then need to give the club away to any idiot who'll have it because it has served it's purpose then good on them. Surely there has got to be an easier and cheaper way to buy a big oxf*rd car park in Berkshire than...
