Re: BFIFollow

Totally agree with Zip’s first 2 sentences about having some of the division most gifted players but that we overplay. The problem is we don’t have intelligent players, who know when to twist and when to stick. There are times to play but there are times to move the ball on quicker and 2-3 times yes...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

Norwich would rightly be annoyed if that ghost goal had actually been given against them, but it wasn’t We were playing Watford weren’t we ? Couple of poor reffing decisions at White Hart Lane I recall but not too sure if they were in the same match. Penalty against us for handball when the call si...

Zip McIntyre was unlucky to not get a new contract. He did ok. We

iirc McIntyre was diabolical played upfront, but when he moved back a bit actually did quite well.

Small world, my next door neighbour in Woodley used to babysit Jim McIntyre when he was a “wee bairn” in Dumbarton.

Re: BFTG Sheff U FB

Agree with every sentence bar one. There were 3 subs made in first half of ET, Pele, Macca and one for them. Alas it was one of the few things Friend got right last night. Ref’s performance was best summed up by Bowen when asked if he’d had a poor game, his reply was something along the lines of “Ne...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wigan Athletic (h) sponsored by Nicky Forster

I think you missed the word “away” out when you talk about Bowen’s results records in such a positive manner. Couldn’t agree more about C1871 not covering themselves in glory last night, although it was a tough ask after our worst home performance in 2 years since Ipswich. However, Bowen’s home reco...

Re: BFTG Cardiff Home

I thought most out there were average to be honest. No real stand out players, no one really poor Apart from Loader. Sadly he was so far out of his depth again today and the more I’m seeing him, the more I question what does he actually have The Aluko hate is predictable but also wrong considering ...

Re: If Reading didn’t exist

Based on 2WW&1WC’s analogy of other home towns, I’d get to choose between Aldershot or Wolves - what a choice. My Dad was a STH at Craven Cottage, so they are a possible Never disliked Saints, but that’s more to do with my shared loathing of Pompey rather than actually liking them. Shout out to ...

I never thought I’d see a worse keeper than Howie. This lad has driven a horse and coaches through that accolade. Now watch Wolves draw Oxford.

Reckon he’s gone... quit or fired dunno but I reckon that’s it. Him done No chance. 3 games ago people were spaffing themselves silly about the prospect of the playoffs. Another 5 games at least before the owners get twitchy IMO Absolutely, but there is no denying JG had a shocker. Said to anyone w...

Ponderous performance Virginia - whilst not at fault for any one the 3 goals, better keepers save some / all of them Yiadom - as often happens, gets found out when up against top drawer wingers like Harris. Below par Moore - poor by his standards Miazga - okay, couple of iffy balls Richards - not a ...

Other observations Thought Ejari & Baker we’re reasonable. Meite, for the size of him was a bit of a Jesse today. How many times did we not challenge for the ball in the air. Before the game, I was reading on Hull websites how they were concerned about our counterattacking pace. Soooo many times...

Did anyone else notice Meite after his first goal. Ran towards the away end going to give it large, he then seemed to have a Saul on the road to Damascus moment remembering who we were playing and wheeled away to Y25 Y26 instead. Quite amusing.

Re: BFT - I don’t know what to call it

Anyone else notice how many of our front 6 bothered to sprint back when QPR broke around the 40 minute mark following Aluko’s rancid pea roller cross. Grand total of one, Eza. After Walker had parried their first shot and their second ended up in row Z, I wondered where the help was. Aluko, Kelly, B...
