Re: Help the Bees!

LUX will it be easier to get to from Jakarta :?:

The location does make the accusation of nimbyism seem rather disingenuous, doesn't it?

Re: Help the Bees!

Green Second "Location Bee" registered on this portal I believe. Whatever happened to Twyford Bee :?:

To my knowledge though the first "Jakarta ClubNickname" registrant though. In fact the first person we've had from Indonesia, I believe.

Re: The North East derby

Definitely Cardiff - Swansea. They genuinely hate each other in a way Spurs and Arsenal, Liverpool and Everton (especially) and United - City really don't.

Re: FA Cup 2013/14

Currently Forest 4-0 West Ham. For all the undoubted lolz at West Ham, the real LULZ are on ITV, who have paid a fortune for what used to be the best football competition in the world, but is now an unwelcome distraction for anybody with promotion/ relegation ambitions/ fears. I bet many of you hav...

Re: FA Cup 2013/14

I watched Rochdale vs Leeds on TV. What a great game of football, and what a brilliant little ground Spotlands looks like. It's pretty much impossible to dislike a club like Rochdale isn't it?

draw with Italy, draw with Uruguay, beat Costa Rica. We'll go through with whoever wins out of Uruguay and Italy in that game.

Brilliant draw. I'm going to try and get to Manaus. When again in my lifetime am I going to get to see England play a World Cup game in the Amazon?

Starfish I am picturing more of a Euro '92 scenario myself.

You think some as-yet-unqualified team will enter the tournament through the back door due to a war raging in one of the qualified countries, and go on to win it?

rehearsal last night The simulation provided an extraordinary Group of Death, as Group A had Brazil, France, Australia and Italy. The opening game of the tournament would be Brazil-France. Group B was Uruguay, Nigeria, USA and Croatia. Group C had Argentina, Ghana, Costa Rica and Fabio Capello’s Ru...

Re: 2014 World Cup Finals Draw

Will be on Friday 6th December ... For example being lumbered with Brazil, France, South Korea wouldn't be good but getting Switzerland, Honduras and Algeria could be mildly amusing - especially if we can rise to the challenge laid down to the last group stage we went through at a World Cup finals....

Re: Clubs that have played in all four divisions

Ark Royal
Nope. Luton have never played in 3N and Oxford have never played in 3S or 3N as they were only elected to the Football League in 1962.

I thought 'all 5 divisions' was referring to the top four leagues plus the Conference, not some defunct pre-war anachronistic region-based pyramid structure.

M Brook
Barry the bird boggler Believe Notts County may also be unique by having played in all "5" divisions; div 1, div 2, div 3 (div 3s, div 3n) and div 4

Grimsby Town have also played in all '5'.

And Luton, and Oxford too.

Re: FA Cup 2013/14

Nice to see one of football's retro clubs Bradford Park Avenue in the hat for the draw, albeit with them having to overcome non-league powerhouse Kidderminster to make it through to face either Sutton United or Hemel Hempstead. Rather uncharitably, the FA Website has (Park Avenue) in brackets on th...

Clubs that have played in all four divisions

Apparently one of these is Bradford Park Avenue, of FA Cup thread fame  There are 35 such clubs. How fast can we name them all. Off the top of my head I get: Wolves Preston Bradford City Swindon Notts County Portsmouth Cardiff City Swansea City Hull City Bolton Reading Leyton Orient Wigan Wimb...

Let's settle this once and for all with a simple question:

What would you rather have on your chest? Thee big fucking excellent rampant lions or a bloody chicken?

Riddle me that one, bloody Francophiles.
