Re: The Tilehurst End & other Reading blogs

*bump* If you've not been to The Tilehurst End in a while or have never heard of us (more likely) then it's a good time to pop back. We've got plenty of content going up daily and we're adding new features all the time. Here's our presentation so far for the Sheffield Wednesday game. http://thetileh...

Re: SIGNED - Anton Ferdinand

Oh ffs. No one ever seems to get over an injury while the probability must be that the more the others play, the more likely they will join the list. What is the update on Guthrie,Robson-Kanu, Pog etc? We don't hear anything for ages and then get told they've had another set back for a few more mon...

Re: Harry Maguire

[quote="TBM] Teams are picked to win games, surely?!......When fit, Ferdinand will be at the back with Pearce - we can then send the likes of Cooper out on loan to gain first team experience (which is better than him getting 8mins off the bench for us) - we then take someone like Maguire in on...

Re: Who Goes Federici or McCarthy??

QPR don't really need him this season though, they've still got Rob Green who's very experienced at Premier League level and has just had a decent season.

They want McCarthy as a long-term successor so if we play hard ball they might just say sod it we'll wait until next year when he's on a free.

Hislop, Bernal (Taylor), Wdowczyk, Holsgrove, Hopkins, Viveash, Gilkes, Gooding, Nogan (Lovell), Quinn, Jones.

Should be good for a 1-0 win.

Re: Who Goes Federici or McCarthy??

£2m for a player who's openly been relegated to second choice and has less than a year left on his contract isn't the worst bit of business tbh. He's hardly come out in the press recently speaking of his great desire to remain at the club, so it makes sense to cash in and probably get a decent sell-...

He was playing centre back for Palace the other week in a friendly, so it's clearly a defensive signing ;)

Re: Confimred new owners of Reading Football Club

I don't think I'll ever understand your hatred for SJM RB :| Regardless of his motives he's helped take the club to heights barely imaginable when he took over, as far as I'm concerned he can have all the press and kudos he wants from others, it's not as if it directly impacts on our own daily lives...

Re: Buyout

Sick of it all to be honest, and I'm sure Nigel Adkins, Nick Hammond and all of the other footballing men and women at the club are too. Trying hard not to believe whispers and rumours but the fact this has dragged on for so long doesn't exactly inspire confidence in any party. Then again what can y...

Re: Who Goes Federici or McCarthy??

Given Fedders wages I'm sure the club wouldn't mind him moving on, but those wages are probably one of the reasons he's still here. McCarthy didn't exactly elevate his stock last season so can't see massive money going for him when he's only got a year left. Happy with either staying, just depends o...

Re: Capital One Cup - 1st Round Draw

When was the last time we got <8k at the mad stad? I'm not saying we will for this match - not with Gylfi, Ross McCormack and Robbie Fowler all starting - but still. Pretty much every time we're in the first round or two at home! We got 5,891 against Burton in the first round under Rodgers in 2009,...
