Re: Have you ever been attacked at a game?

Got kicked leaving the ground at Stockport away late nineties/early noughties (only once and to be honest not very hard, then another of their fans then came and apologised!) Took my revenge my exiting the car park and aiming my Vauxhall Belmont at full speed at several Stockport supporters crossing...

Re: Your Fav 3 Reading goals EVER

Robin Friday H v Tranmere March 1976. No not that one, the other one. He scored two that night and I just feel sorry for the other goal that always gets ignored. Only joking course I meant 'that one'. Dylan Kerr A v Blackpool April 1994. What a bender! Ray Hiron H v Lincoln City April 1976. Not spec...

Re: New Away kit - do you like it or not

The away kit is okay - quite smart. The home shirt is bloody awful.

I won't be buying either of them.

Re: PNE PREDICTION THREAD

Reading 3 v 1 Preston North End Reading make a fast start to the match with a lot of early possession and from their second corner in the first five minutes the ball drops to Doyle who stabs home from five yards. The game evens out and Preston see a bit more of the ball for the rest of the half unti...

Re: First Reading game?

1970 a midweek game in January home to Bradford City. We won 1 v 0 (I only know this cos I looked it up.) Taken there by my dad - one of those rites of passage moments. Sat in the stands toward the Tilehurst End my abiding memories are of the stunning green colour of the grass under the Elm Park flo...

Re: Predicitions for Coventry Match

Coventry have won three, drawn three and lost three of their nine away games this season. Don't score many and don't concede many. Therefore:

Reading 2 v 1 Coventry

Doyle 21mins
N Hunt 39 mins

Ernie Hunt 76mins (if he still plays for them)

Re: Southampton Prediction Thread

Southampton have picked up more points away this season than they have at home (10 away, 6 at home.) Fortunately with 3,000 travelling fans it will be like a home game for them, which is actually a bad thing.

Reading 2 v 1 Southampton

N Hunt
Rosenior

Terry Paine (if he still plays for them)

Re: Wigan Prediction Thread

I have played out the Wigan v Reading match using my 1973 Subbuteo Club edition set. I can reveal that Reading win 2 v 0. Although according to the team sheet this means Barry Wagstaff scores both goals, and the referee, Clive Thomas, was a little bit biased in Reading 's favour. Due to unfortunate ...

Re: Fulham Prediction Thread

Reading 3 v 1 Fulham Doyle breaks his non scoring sequence with a double in the first half to bring us back from one nil down. The early Fulham score gets Gordon McQueen on Sky TV very excited about them pulling out of the 'dreaded drop zone'. The second half is a tad boring and covered in no more t...
