Re: Swap teams

URZZZZZ If it was possible, is there any other team in our division that you would swap our current squad for as a whole. Or do you believe that ours is now the best squad in the division?

Give me the Boro squad over this one any day.

Re: Back from the sofa - Ipswich (H)

3 questions to ask Would Jem be in the team ahead of Tshibola on current form? Would Pearce be in the team ahead of McShane or Ferdinand on current form. Would we be getting added value for the extra money they were asking? Loyalty means fcuk all. 2 years ago Pearce was angling for a move to Liverp...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

One last thing, Reading are the epitomy of everything wrong with modern football. Soulless stadium, fans who dont stand up to celebrate goals and clap to inane drums all game, and paying out mega fees for loan players! Add to that there insistence to go down at every opportunity, I hope they fail t...

Re: CONFIMRED - Matej Vydra

Brighton fans really don't like us! They get all excited about possibly signing Vydra then completely change their tune when he signs for us, 1 even suggest Matt oxf*rd Smith would score more goals than Vydra. http://www.northstandchat.com/showthread.php?326294-Matej-Vydra/page7  I really don'...

Re: GONE - Michail Antonio to Sheffield Wednesday

Good luck to him. Didn't rate him at the time, didn't see him developing into a decent Championship player let alone a Premier League one, but he's proved me and a lot of other people wrong.

Re: The countdown to Ian Harte scoring 10+ league goals

Utter bollox from a typical source. K. He was the weak link in a defence that contained Shaun Cummings. Don't doubt his professionalism but how on earth he managed to get some Prem game time is beyond me. This will be the weak link in the defence that won the league and conceded fewer goals than an...

Woodcote Royal
St. Brynjar Good set piece taker. Couldn't defend for his life, constant liability. Good luck to him.

Re: Who do we consider our rivals?

Been following since 03-04, so never really had any Swindon/Oxford/Aldershot games to get excited about. QPR - Generally hated team, the cringey 'fake hoops' makes this one at least somewhat interesting. West Ham - Pardew, Kebe etc. Any Warnock team - Sheff Utd, Leeds Chelsea - Mourinho being a c u ...

Re: McShane-Ferdinand

I don't doubt your statistics, but Sonko and Ingimarsson were better for longer, and had a greater degree of success at the highest level. An honourable mention must go to one of my favourite players, Andre Bikey. Pearce seemed to pass from "young and capable of improvement" to "keep...

Re: McShane-Ferdinand

Still early days yet, but if this pair stay fit and suspension-free, they could be the best pairing since Sonko and Ingimarsson. Surely not better than Gorkss-Pearce in the promotion season? You must be joking!!? Yes? McShane and Ferdinand is the best central midfield pairing we have had since 2005...

Re: Wednesday Match Thread (A) Sponsored by £30 Match Ticket

It was an individual error but Clarke must take his fair share of the game - negative substitutions when we were in a position to see the game out just invites pressure.

Re: Wednesday Match Thread (A) Sponsored by £30 Match Ticket

Jury still very much out on Clarke. 2 points from 9 means he's picked up from his abysmal tail end of last season. What's the point of starting four centre mids if the #1 you signed has less hand-eye coordination than Harvey Price?
