Re: Local journalist

Noticed a fair chunk of the Reading journalists who left recently, don’t appear to be in the industry anymore. Not sure if it’s common, but would be intrigued to know why.

Re: The squad in July

Yeah I really don’t understand the reaction. Only in football do people go on about how bad it’s looking then get surprised things like this happen.

Tom Ince apparently has an active £50k relegation release clause in his contract.

Re: Potential New Owners

They’ve been open to sell for a few years now. Hopefully it’s not just another dodgy owner if the interest is serious.

Re: Modern football things that you like

The fact you can get minute by minute match updates without being in the same continent, let alone at the stadium. Wasn’t that long ago when the best we had was teletext or later on, the BBC website if we wanted to find out the latest scores. Ceefax was brilliant though, still wish it was a thing, ...

Re: Moving away fans to Upper West Corner

There’s being cheesed off at clubs not offering back the £20 offer, then there’s deliberately trying to give the away fans the most expensive seats in the stadium and openly admitting to trying to do that. If the club are annoyed at the take up, then it needs to be addressed directly and publicly, t...

TiagoIlori The EFL will be getting a very angry letter from Peterborough’s tit of an owner over the fourth goal in the morning.

Why? there were injury stoppages in added time. and the posh keeper was doing a Lumley.

I’m referring to when he was banging on about legal action over the FFP thing last season.

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

I'd be more than happy with that. Why are we suddenly a club that doesn't want to give a decent coach a chance at being a manager? He's got top experience with a very good manager in Rodgers, as both a tactician and how his teams play football; so he's had good schooling. His contacts at Leicester ...

Re: New manager rumours and speculation

Lots of people betting on Chris Davies (yes the assistant to Brendon Rodger’s and has been a coach here before) by the looks of it. One of the few people that haven’t been managers before I would be content with.

Re: The squad in July

We’ve missed Meite’s goals, but his injury record and wages make it a tough call. Feel like the next manager should be deciding whether we make an offer for him. Wonder what’s going to happen with Ejaria. Unless the next manager believes in him, he’s at real risk of ending up in non league in a coup...

Poor bloke had big boots to fill and within a few weeks gave us Yermas Dildo. As others have said, unlike that Benjy or Charles Watts, I don’t think he really wanted to be reporting on football.

Re: As The Dust Settles - The Sombre Thread

Looking back at recent seasons, does make me feel a bit sad we didn’t get the same moments of pure relief this time around (Cardiff away 0-0, West Brom home 0-0 and our incredible comeback for 4-4 v Swansea). Quickly became a side that was always in trouble but knew how to get out of it. While I’m s...

CBC has struggled but if he doesn’t play senior football he won’t ever be ready. Plus, deserves the chance to make a claim for a spot in the squad next season.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Huddersfield Town (a)

One journalist suggested he had been carrying a knock as of late and that it didn’t make any sense to worsen it, which is more logical than that. What happened to not believing everything you read? Hence why it's a rumour. Wasn’t directed at you, was more so that I have seen a lot of people instant...
