Re: The League of 4

So what happens if Bolton don't complete their final two games? Will their league record be expunged? And, more importantly, if it is, how would the revised league table look? Doubt very much that would happen with only 2 games to go, but Rotherham would lose 3 points, we would lose 1. Well, the ga...

Re: The League of 4

I think the more fight pisstaking is a direct response to the Sky pundits tipping Rotherhan to stay up over us due to their fighting spirit. Since which point they've picked up a solitary point.

Re: The League of 4

Just seen that Millwall v Stoke kicks off at 1.30pm tomorrow. Seems very unfair on both Millwall and Rotherham given that a win for Millwall will more or less kill off Rotherham and could effect their performance at WBA. Personally don't think games like this should be moved in the final month of t...

Re: European Leagues Thread 2012/2013

Interesting* stat - Luis Suarez is now Barcelona's joint-third highest La Liga scorer ever, with 131 goals. First, hadn't realised just how many goals he had scored since his move, but second, it occurred to be that that's not many goals by which to be the third highest scorer ever at Barcelona. Ha...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

One would hope that given we seem to be trying more things out from attacking set plays we may see some more interesting corner routines next year rather than the standard, hit it into the box and hope that we normally use.

Re: The League of 4

The big issue with Clement was surely 46-60 minutes? The damage had normally been done before the last 15 even came around Absolutely mate. Of the 12 goals conceded this season in that spell - 9 were under Clement (2 in the 60th minute) 3 were equalisers 4 opened the scoring 1 killed off the game (...

Re: The League of 4

The Clement concentration factor must be big. And certainly can't be fatigue as we conceded so many goals within 10 minutes of the restart. Minutes 46-60 have been our worst spell all season comfortably - although we have only seen a positive GD for one 15 minute spell all season: Goals For and Aga...

Re: We're ManchesteROFL United, we do what we want

Christ ManU looked just so.fukking.average out there tonight It was the lack of any urgency that really shone through. When Utd were at their peak, if they found themselves a goal or 2 down you just knew that for whatever time remained it would be wave after wave of attack - overlapping full backs,...

Re: Rumours: Timo Pukki and Fernando Karanga

With hindsight Pukki might have been an OK signing. It's one of those weird things about football isn't it - he's never had a season like this in his career and seems like he has found the right home for him at Norwich. If he had come to us, he would probably have looked OK and scored 8/10 goals - ...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

I almost want to see Leeds go up for two reasons. 1 gets the pcunts out of our hair for a season 2 It would be great if they celebrated getting back to the big time and then immediately finished 20th and got relegated again. Especially if they spent loads doing it went back into admin and got releg...

Re: Ups & Downs 2018/19

I too think there is a twist in the tale to come. Either City win tonight, everyone assumes they are champions but they slip up on another game, or City lose tonight, Liverpool think they are on track to be champions but they slip up on one of their last games. Is it all set up for Wes Morgan to st...

Re: The League of 4

Side point but how many times have we been losing at half time? Or as a matter of fact concede in the first half. As far as I can remember, with the exception of Brentford and Wigan, in 2019, we've only conceded either 0 goals at half time or 3 1st Half Record W 14 D21 L9 Pts 63 Away from home, we'...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

We will find out this weekend when they play eachother. You're massivley wrong though. I could well be but I just don't see them getting in. I am just basing that on what I saw of them last Friday, very poor. Look to have run out of steam. They did, as did Derby laboured against QPR and needed a sl...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

I'm assuming the playoff teams will be Leeds, WBA, Villa and FLDC in that order. While that would be an absolute dram for the media I've got issues with 3 of them so ingrained that I'd actually be rooting for diving Dwight Gayle to get the wembley win Derby won't make the play-offs. They will. Writ...

Re: Dirty LOLeeds

Actually would like whoever finishes 6th to win the play offs Wonder if Leeds would then sack Bielsa? And could they have FFP issues too? Then there'd be Villa's FFP problems.... Leeds won't sack Bielsa but if they don't go up, he won't be there next year. This always had the feel of a one off seas...

Re: Next Season's Squad.

I'd like to see a final chance for Kelly as a squad option. He should fit Gomes' style and its easy to forget his breakout season in 16/17. Admittedly he's been very disappointed since then and his most recent performance at Sheff Utd was an abomination, but Gomes has proved an excellent motivator/...

Re: The League of 4

Am I alone in thinking the Boro game is very winnable? And that Birmingham are likely to be on the beach now? Also wouldn't it be funny if Birmingham finished 19th for the 3rd year in a row. Oh yeah 6pts is absolutely attainable over the last 2 games, my post was simply a comment on how we think we...
