Re: Following Reading

I have to say peeps, I am extremely disappointed with the reaction of some fans on BBCRB after the Arsenal game. Expressions of "disgust" etc at the performance and end result. I'm sorry, but how very sad. If you want to watch a highly successful team, week in week out, then Reading are c...

Re: Could we be sold again in the not too distant future?

How have we benefited from having Madejski and the russian guy in charge? never. Money goes in (their pockets) never comes out. I think it would be beneficial if we ditched the rich guys and let the fans lead the team. Well that's total bollocks. Before Anton, JM was losing £4m a year to the club. ...

Re: Who's to blame? The Fans

I agree there is a general negativity which can't help but to say its a major rather than a minor factor is simply incorrect. The same goes for when you're on a run and everyone's positive - the team affects the fans much more than the fans affect the team.

Re: Team for Sunday

Reading between the lines, I think Guthrie back on Sunday, this: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20127409 seems to have now been said but not till monday afternoon which I take to mean that they had a chat on monday and sorted it out but didn't train so didn't play tonight. Nevertheless, i wou...

Re: Team for tuesday

Would like to see Samuel and Obita get a run out. Until we put them against quality opposition, who knows they could be shit or they could be really comfortable. I agree basically. Unfortunately, Samuel got 90 mins for U21s yesterday so its not going to happen for him. However, Obita wasn't involve...

Re: Team for tuesday

Seeing as McDermott thinks he has players for two elevens then I guess he'd want to play the other one where available. Sorta guessing Guthrie won't be involved considering what we've heard. ------------------Federici---------------- --Gunter---Pearce-----Morrison---Harte-- --McCleary-Tabb-Leigertwo...

oxf*rd HELL!
I CAN BARELY BELIEVE IT!

Lawro has put some quite reasoned comments about the game!
Rather than just writing that Reading need to buy a whole new team and are no where near good enough he has chosen not to mention us at all!!
Farcical really!

Re: ATMOSPHERE-More songs

The observation is basically accurate however last year there was more noise made by 500ish people at Derby or Millwall. I think the decreased atmosphere is down to: a) More fans at away games. Those who always went to the away games are the mental ones who shout football songs in their sleep but th...

Re: Sunderland away to be re-arranged

It occurred to me yesterday that, now the Arsenal game has been moved to the Monday, the Sunderland game can't be re-arranged for the Tues/Wed of that week which is bloomin' annoying. That means that if one of us gets to through in league cup (Sunderland are at home to Middlesbrough so it's likely) ...

Man Utd L

15 points I reckon. That'll put us on 18 from 15 - just trundling along nicely, bobbing in and out of the relegation zone, for when McDermott decides that the season has started in the new year!

Re: If you didn't support Reading who would you support and

Watford I expect. That's where my mum and her family were from and he supported them up-to her 20s. Then many years later when I came along and got into football, I made her take me to a Reading game and she's now an out and out royal! Although, having said that, I do go and watch Maidenhead from ti...

Re: Anyone who is against big-decision video evidence

This seems to be going round in circles as an argument but basically I am absolutely against video replays. Ok yesterday one might say that looking at the goal again once it had been awarded wouldn't have been an issue... and you're probably right. But let's imagine that the handball wasn't the fina...

Re: View from the Opposition - West Brom fan

1. What have been your thoughts on your start to the season so far? Chelsea and Tottenham games don't really count because we are competing at opposite ends of the table. The remaining game we draw at home to Stoke - that is a tad shit! 2. What are your thoughts on our start to the season so far? We...

Re: The back 5 against West Brom

I'd play Federici if fit but sounds like he won't be so McCarthy. Keep Gunter at right back because he's been superb. Definitely keep Gorkss because I love him and think he's brilliant. He's also the only CB who can shift the ball up-to the midfield well. We'll miss this if he's dropped. I'd be more...

Cheating the club? Do you know how expensive tickets are anyway!!

But yeh I suppose trying it isn't risk free and you might be able to upgrade but not sure about on the day!

Re: Season ticket question Please Help

No-one's likely to realise. The only two ways they'll know are: 1) If a steward were to look at the ticket which they normally don't. 2) A child ticket causes two small lights rather than one to go on when you swipe at at the turnstile (it might be one light rather than two a can't remember). Howeve...

Re: Sunderland away to be re-arranged

Why? Are UEFA that worried that the likes of Sunderland v Reading will mean a few less people watching some pointless round robin game on the telly[/b]? apparantly Uefa are't even happy about Championship and League 1 and 2 games being played on the same night as the Champions League. Tough. Who th...

Re: Sunderland away to be re-arranged

There's an agreement between the Premier League and UEFA that premier league games won't clash with champions league games unless there isn't an alternative. So that's why and means the game probably won't be till at least December (although if both teams go out the league cup soon there could be a ...
