Re: CONFIMRED - Lucas Boye

We have an option to make the deal permanent as well.

Re: Free away travel

Seen a couple of idiots whinging on Social Media that this offer is unfair as it discriminates against fans who choose to make their own way to the game. One would hope they are taking the piss, but we are know they won't be. Although . . . . . never going to happen, but if the club could negotiate...

Re: Lucas Boye

I'd certainly be happy with the signing based on what I can see about him. If it happens be very interested to see how the deal is structured being as he is out of contract end of the season, and apparently worth a few quid. I'd be surprised however if we were able to afford any sort of transfer fe...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Villa's spending is up to £132.5m this window Did they not see what happened to Fulham last season? Baffling isn't it? I'd get it if they spent that on 3 very high level, experienced players who could improve and nurture their young talent but to bring in 14 new players, the majority of which haven...

Re: Rumour - David Cornell

think its just paper talk. We seem to have decided we have a keeper crisis based on one game Virginia will start (and I expect do quite well) and Walker is a capable back up (though not one I'd want to play a lot of games) If JV has a poor start to the season, we send him back and get another loan ...

Re: Lucas Boye

Looks and plays like Oliveira. Don't remember oliviera ever playing on the wing. Then perhaps that makes him a better fit? He seems to have the ability to hold up play as Oliveria did last season but as we seem to be moving to having a more fluid front 4 or 5, the ability for him to switch from pla...

Re: Free away travel

Mr Dai is a top bloke, this is a fantastic gesture. Excited to see who manages to have an issue with it and what that issue is! The only issue I have is not being able to drink before a game which is a massive part of it. And also being stuck with plebs like you and Ian on a coach journey. STAR dro...

Re: Rumour - David Cornell

Hmmm - 28 and last season was his first season as a No. 1 and only has a handful of apperances above League 2 level. Doesn't mean he's not a good keeper and would come here happy to challenge for the starting spot rather than going straight in but feels like a Walker Mk 2. Can only assume, if true, ...

windermereROYAL CF reporting he`s had a medical at Hogwood today, he`s been on the ball recently.

TBF he said a medical has taken place but he also leaked the rumour, so 2+2.

Re: David Meyler - Reading's biggest ever mercenary?

Contract cancelled by mutual consent. I guess we'll never know whether this was a months wages or 11.9, but he's gone. At the time, the signing made a lot of sense. He doesn't seem to be a 'bad apple' but then again, who knows what happened; some of the best leaders are also the ones who take being...

Meyler's contract has been cancelled - can only assume we've either paid up his wages or agreed a sum with him to move on early and find a new club easier.

Re: Free away travel

Great move by the owners. Personally, I would have been tempted to leave out clubs that charge more than £30 for a ticket. By offering free travel we are in effect increasing ticket sales for them. That's not a moan, just a suggestion. Reasonable point - but the main thing is to get support for our...

Free away travel

It's just been announced that the owner will pay for free coach travel to the 15 furthest away games this season.

Coach travel isn't everyone's cup of tea but an amazingly good offer from the owner. Very impressed.

Re: Next Season's Squad.

Courtney Friday has taken a break from his holiday to tweet that we are working on 2 more deals before deadline day. Intimates that one is a striker and the other can play right wing. If we are only going on who we've been linked with would suggest that is Bonatini and Galeno (unless you class Ejari...

Wycombe Royal Swansea might be losing McBurnie to Sheffield Utd for £17m.

May well see them struggle if they can't replace him in the next week if so.

Re: CONFIMRED - Joao Virginia

My comments on here during Sunday’s game wasn’t directly made because the 2 goals Virginia let in; it was about Virginia being our weakest link in the starting eleven. Their first goal from the freekick was unstoppable and the second, although the ball took a deflection Virginia’s body position mea...
