Re: STs for season 2019/2020

Any discount on iFollow if we renew? Nope, no discounts. I think that would be a step too far in giving STHs priorities, you're already prioritising them over the normal fan by offering them first chance to return, to then give them more of a discount on iFollow might annoy the other fans. That and...

Re: Season 20/21

Adults should drive unless they have medical issues preventing them from doing so. It's embarrassing. :| If you live or grow up in a city where public transport is good and reliable, there is no reason to drive. I was learning to drive at 17, but lost my job so couldn't afford anymore lessons. Went...

Re: Season 20/21

Another fully grown man who can't drive, beggars belief! You should speak to Ian and maybe get a tandem bike. Nowt wrong with not driving. Was 33 when I finally passed. Had seen no point upto then. Adults should drive unless they have medical issues preventing them from doing so. It's embarrassing....

Re: STs for season 2019/2020

I guess so The whole thing is one in the eye for the "the people at the club don't know what they're doing" brigade Just seen it in the FAQs and if fans aren't back this season at all the money will be credited off the cost next season, which seems more than fair. Indeed, as mentioned, be...

Re: Season 20/21

Yep happy with this - although of course would be happier if my ST also bought me iFollow access  I know people don’t like me banging on about supporter’s rights and so forth but I was a little put off by this in the FAQs: All tickets purchased will be strictly non-transferable and will inclu...

Re: STs for season 2019/2020

That seems great, although I assume the non-refundable retainer would actually become refundable if we're never allowed full capacity? Can we get tickets for Saturday yet? EFL have just announced club are allowed 1000 in attendance this weekend I think it would either be refundable at the end of th...

I'm setting up a six week course to enable understanding of the rules... I did have to read it through twice, there seems to be a comprehensive list of FAQs here as well - https://ticketing.readingfc.co.uk/screenloader.aspx?type=include&page=custom/documents/html/faq.html#reduced%20Capacity Onc...

Re: The Non - League thread

That eclipses even Reading’s usually shambolic performances with penalties. Harsh on Reading, I think. We've been pretty good in penalty shoot-outs recently, won 2 last year! Agreed, that has been good the last couple of occasions, however penalties during games do seem to be as “iffy” as ever. Aga...

Season ticket news has been released and while it may seem a bit convoluted, I think this is brilliant by the club https://www.readingfc.co.uk/news/2020/september/your-season-ticket-2020-21--renewal-process-part-1/ I'm setting up a six week course to enable understanding of the rules... Which is surely an argument for some rotation. We have a decent chance of winning without our absolute best XI and we benefit from having more players ready to step in if there's injuries. Whilst winning does breed winning, try telling that to Steve Coppell, who would routinely change entire squads...

Depends though, knowing ManU at home is awaiting the winners then that may mean both teams playing stronger than expected line ups With no crowds how much of a prize is this? Presumably there's no finanical benefit. Just depends on whether the opportunity to play them is an incentive for the player...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Luton Town (h) sponsored by Dean Morgan

Would be nice to have 3 positive results in a row, but if we do play a young side tonight and it is a battling defeat, say a hard fought 1-2 or 2-3, I am sure there are still positives to take from that, minutes like that can be valuable for them. Absolutely. I'd still like to win, though. Looks li...

PieEater Not sure we should be selling strikers to relegation rivals.

Better him playing for Luton and scoring against other relegation rivals, than sitting on our bench doing nothing, no?

That is, if we end up being relegation rivals.

Re: Goal of the Season 2020-2021

Once this gets beyond 10/20 goals (whatever the shortlist length is) can we keep the bottom handful displayed to debate the 'worst goal of the season' too? What make a bad goal? A deflection? Penalty almost-saved? Calamitous own goal? The only bad goal is the one at the wrong end. And of course the...
