Re: What goes on inside our owners' heads?

As well as the obvious public unrest, things are an absolute mess with the back room staff at the stadium too, even before the disruption of the pandemic. Based on some of the information I’m receiving, the owners have gone from honestly naive to just being negligible.

Re: On this day

8 years ago today Sunderland away water logged pitch Still think that played a fairly big part in us going down that year. Meant we went there with a threadbare squad instead of going there off the back of a very decent (if losing) performance at Chelsea - would have fancied us winning that day. 10...

Re: Most underrated/"does a job" player for Reading?

Can’t agree with the Jay Tabb shout, he offered literally nothing in four years - he even managed to get sent off on the bench.

Ran a lot, sure, but I don’t think he ever got over 5/10.

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

I remember being outraged at the Nash challenge, I think his legs going up in the air after the collision made it look worse than it was. Slightly different but a few years ago we put the ball out for an injury against Sheffield United. They played it back to us tamely, but Billy Sharp nipped in an...

Re: Biggest Reading FC injustices

Two spring to mind at the start of the 12/13 season. 1. Torres’ offside goal in the Chelsea game. In a game that showed us maintaining our positive momentum from the previous season, we more than held our own against the European Champions. With ten minutes to go a clearly offside Torres puts them i...

SCIAG Thought Rosenior looked good under Coppell and he had a good career after Rodgers released him.

Not only did Rosenior look good, saying he had an ego couldn't be further from the truth - a thoroughly humble and likeable chap.

We're talking about Liam, not Leroy.

Yes, Liam

Re: Worst Reading Player

I know his name has already come up but surely Hope Akpan has to win this hands down. Not once do I ever remember him kicking the ball in the direction he intended to. Truly woeful. Whatever was Coppell thinking? Honorable mention to Liam Rosenior. He might have got away with his totally limited st...

Re: Do we dare to dream?

If the season doesn't get voided then I think we will see a few surprises in the finals stages of each EFL league. I'm not suggesting it will be us, but some of the teams who were in form will come back sluggish and off the pace, whilst those who were struggling may return with a new found vigour. A...

Re: Worst Reading Player

Goater would have been quality if Pardew had stayed, the tactics at the start of the season were built around him and he was banging in the goals early on.

Andy Hughes almost hit double figures in 02/03, so he should be exempt.

Karacan is a truly laughable suggestion.

11/1 on a RFC win on William Hill, I’ll pop a few quid on that just in case we turn up.

Re: BFTG - Baggies

I agree, had their first shot not hit the bar, everyone would've slated him for an awful error. It was a poor attempt at a save and he got lucky. That was probably the worse half I have seen him play, as he has been otherwise excellent for us. I clearly remember him making some really smart saves l...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

What an odious little twerp you are  For the goal he made the save despite having poor visibility through the players, but he will probably be a bit disappointed he didn’t tip it away further. Other than that, he made a series of decent saves to take us into the break level. Maybe try and enga...

Re: BFTG - Baggies

Find it odd you thought Meite was good and Puscas was poor. For me neither were great but had so little service. Pele was good/ok. Ejaria and Swift awful. Obita, Puscas, Meite ok. Rafael mare first half, fine 2nd. Rest poor to average. Rino made a difference when came on. I’d be interested to hear ...

They don't use a monitor, certainly didn't a little while ago anyway which you could have easily read. You can tell this from how confused Mick is about who has had a chance or who is coming on as a sub etc. They've talked in the past about how an incident hasn't been replayed on the monitor, so I'...

Re: BFTG Bristol citeh.

I thought the first hour ebbed and flowed in 10 minute spells. Bristol started better, then we had a good 10, then they would have a stronger 10 - there was nothing in the game really. The first goal was going to be so crucial, and when Ovie blazes over from three yards and they score two minutes la...
