Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

SRD are you seriously suggesting we're going to re-sign Cox? Is this just what you want or do you have inside info? By the way, thanks for the list - it's an impressive list and I guess it's probably credit to BR that we've got such a talented crop coming through. Will be very interesting to see how...

Re: New manager Brendan Rodgers *confirmed*

Very sorry to not troll through all 71 pages... but could someone give me a precis on Rodgers? Not history - I can get that on wiki - just what kind of game he tends toward, what kind of players, what kind of temperament? Or point me towards that info? He likes to knock the ball about on the floor....

Re: Watford Players

Priskin scored 14 last season - and most of them towards the end of the season; Rasiak got a fair few as well. Is Rasiak available on a free from Southampton by the way?

Re: Doyle

Wizard Haven't seen Doyle say he wants out? Indeed, he signed his new contract before the transfer window opened.

Couldn't see it in his play either, he was the best player on the pitch at Burnley til he got injured. Still gave 110% every game.

Totally agree! Well said.

Re: Murty on talksport last night

Why would they see SJM? Hammond is the one in charge of contracts and negotiations. The coaches and manager are in charge of training, matches and tactics. It's time for a change is a perfectly valid explanation. And much better than, we think you're past it and not worth the cost anymore. Agreed -...

Agree - much too risky. Wouldn't want to come here and throw he's weight about in the transfer market - could be an expensive gamble.

moo Anyone got a list of all the out of contract players? Must be some decent out of contract players to bulk the squad with experience.

This isn't FM you know!?

What I kind of meant is that we're not going to 'bulk the squad with experience' like you do on FM.

Re: Brendan Rogers Please

I agree with Dirk on Curbishly. He did well at Charlton, partly because of his history there, when he was a hungry young manager. I put a lot of weight in that, and although I think he's a good manager I just don't think he's really what we need. We need invigorating and an injection of energy. Don...

Re: Brendan Rogers Please

People remember what he did for Charlton, but forget his record at West Ham. He has a better win record than Zola and people see him as doing a good job. I'd be over the moon with Alan Curbishley - but am starting to doubt we'll get him. I think it would have happened by now if it were really on th...

Re: Darren Ferguson

With so many done deals we'll end up with 5 or 6 managers.. Would be an interesting new way of managing a club - kind of the management equivalent of what Neil Warnock does with strikers. You could use the SC approach of using a rotation system where the manager who wins a game, is allowed to manag...

( incidently weren't united willing to pay in excess of £1m for him in Jan - seems a stange decision not to try to get some sort of fee for him. I'd have some money on us making an attempt to sign him if we were to go up) Yep, but from what I've heard the terms offered to Lita were piss-poor - so l...

jesus christ how many times does it have to be said, they were bad because they didnt get given the ball from defence, so either they were far too high up the pitch to receive the ball cos they knew it would be a hoof, or they didnt get it all. Did X cost us? where X = almost anything

I think we bottled it towards the end because we had such a pansy sponsor that the boys were embarrassed to have on their shirts - they just didn't want it to be shown on national TV at Wembley. If only we'd stuck to what we had ....
