RUMOUR: Bristol City made bids for Lita

BBC teletext; Bristol City boss Gary Johnson has had two bids to bring Reading striker Leory Lita back to Ashton Gate rejected. http://www.bcfc.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10327~1421517,00.html I think that indicates SC feels Bristol would create more problems for Leroy than advantages.

Re: Home game reduced again

It would appear that Barnsley fans get the better end of the deal with ourselves having differen't concessionary prices (ie Under 12, 13-16, 17-21, 65 and over) compared to Barnsley's (Under 11, Under 18, Senior Citizen). Oh well, good to see clubs working together.

Re: The rest of the qualifiers

Nasty clash of heads in the Chile Argentina match, play held up for 7 minutes. Robinho stretchered off in the Brazil game, doubt for next Monday's tie at Newcastle.

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Wouldn't agree with the concept to avoid friendlies, you just need to look at different markets to get value price wise.

Everyone knows it's all about the FA Cup though, was up £500 on that market last season and tipped Portsmouth @ 11's in Round 5, bring on 1st Round Day!

Re: The rest of the qualifiers

Very dissapointing result for Poland. From what I saw (55mins +) Poland were comfortable at 1-0, Ebi's goal was onside before Boruc made an absolute howler. Long throw in, he's misjudged the bounce and has spilled it for the Slovak striker to tap in. Seconds later we're 2-1 down. I suspect we won't ...

Re: Belarus v England thread

Shame he hasn't scored for England for 5 years. Don't get me wrong, he does a job for the team and is brilliant but his International goalscoring record is poor.

Re: The rest of the qualifiers

Poland secure a massive 3 points against an average Czech side, who appear to have peaked now. Interesting to see Paw Brozek get a game, and a goal to boot. Did you watch the match? I'd been telling people to watch out for him for years based on his rise at Wisla, then when he did get a short run f...

Re: Preston Away - a difficult place to get a result?

Has their 4th and final new stand been built yet? I know they started work on it last year so it can't be far off if not already finished. Finished in the summer, total capacity of 22,000. Anyone who gets to Deepdale early and doesn't fancy going to the pub, check out the National Football Museum. ...

Re: Simon Church

Lita scored 6 in 9 games for England U21 (playing with a bunch of players with loads of experience of top level football) and Church has 7 in 10 games for Wales U21 (playing with Ramsay and a few lower league reserves). Shame neither of them can score in Domestic football but, having seen Church's ...

Re: Championship Match fixing. Who could it be???

Wycombe Royal Stoke v Scunthorpe has been mentioned as the game in question. Stoke were 2-0 down at half time and won 3-2 although there was only one contentious issue where a ball went out of play but it wasn't given and Stoke scored.

It's not that game unless there is an investigation into more games.
