Re: We are down. So next season who stays and who goes?

With a decent start I'm confident we can do well next season (I am pissed). I can't see us being raped for our players, but I expect these to leave: Tabb (we should keep him) Church Roberts Guthrie Pearce McCarthy (I Would prefer we cash in on Feds) Cummings or Gunter Pog Gorkks (although I'd like t...

Re: Make our feelings known

My player of the season is joint between McAnuff and L,wood. Too bloody close though. No player has played multiple games over the season apart from ^^^^. I would say Le Fondre because without him we would still be on single figures. 1) Le Fondre 2) Mariappa 3) Jimmy 4) HRK You're missing my point,...

Re: Jobi reaction to ml sub

Jobi hasn't been great this season, but neither have most players, but it's not his fault McD protects him. I do however think he's a easy target and if you look back at today rationally he was probably our most dangerous player, he did create both our goals (one offside). He didn't hide and was pos...

Make our feelings known

We're down, ok we could of accepted that in August. But there have been so many oxf*rd ups from McDermott the fans need to express how unhappy we are about team selections, substitutions, formations, player loyalty, playing down huge games, results against bottom 5 teams, general PR, Guthrie, Shorey...

out of (vague) interest Mr C What were you expecting? Top four - champions league Top six - euros Mid table - boredom Bottom scrap - thats what we've got Exciting isnt it? No, it's depressing. I expected us to stay up, if we went down we went down fighting playing each game like a cup final. What w...

Re: Team for Wigan

I will be disappointed if we go with Ledge, Turk and Akpan in midfield. I'd stick with Jobi in the attacking midfield role he adopted against Sunderland, as he gives that attacking option running beyond the back four the others don't. The big question for me yet again is where is our star signing? S...

Re: Akpan's Amazing Assists - best passer at the club???

Akpan showed in 15 mins more quality than Karacan or Legs have showed this season. Even though results have been excellent recently the performances have been poor and we cannot sustain the come backs. I personally feel Akpan starting is worth the gamble Saturday but it will never happen. If anyone ...

Re: Chris Armstrong - 3rd minute Saturday

I find these things all a bit embaressing and over the top at football matches to be honest, we'll be retiring shirts next.

Having said that, it's happening, he seemed a decent bloke, so I'll no doubt join in (but feel a bit of a dick).

GreaterTorontoRoyal From the OS:
West Ham Preview
Team news
Royals: Brian McDermott has no fresh injury conerns. Alex McCarthy and Sean Morrison are both ruled out.

Ok if fit I would bring back Morrison and Shorey ASAP.

Agree it would seem Shorey was yet another player to speak out of turn with McDermott this year.

Missing a trick not playing Shorey?

Yes the last 2 performances have been defensively better with Harte in the team, but I think this is down to the change in formation, rather than Shorey being dropped. In my opinion Shorey has been our best player this season, so are we not missing a trick not having his distrubtion and delivery wit...

Re: Manchester City vs Reading *Match Thread* Sponsored by 4

I am not getting excited about the performance because we lost! We should have played with that conviction against bloody villa; wigan, soton and sunderland! Instead we were awful! The next two are must wins and we must play like we did for each of our remaining games. Will we lapse back into the s...

Re: So.... Was it a foul on Shorey? *POLL*

Possibly was a foul, would of liked to see Shorey be more committed to winning it. It's not really worth moaning about, the previous 6 games have cost us, not this decision

Re: Leigertwood - Not good enough at this level

Who would you sign? Who would want to sign for us should be the question Disagree, we are in the Premier League and if the wages are right there are lots of peacocks willing to sign. I personally would not want us to sign a load of tossers not willing to play Championship football next season, but ...

Re: Man Utd - back from the game

agree with a lot of the posts, especially from Floyd Streete. We really do have a dilema, clearly McDermott is being shown up, not just in his tactics but in his transfers in the summer. But will sacking him and bringing in a big name manager make a difference? We could be well cut adrift by January...

Re: Leigertwood - Not good enough at this level

Agree with the post subject, no he isn't, but until The Turk is back I can't see it changing unless we change formation. We get exposed enough now playing 2 wingers, so can only see that getting worse if Guthrie plays.

Who would you sign?

Re: Adrian Marriapa

Marriapa and Morrison will be a mustard CB pairing next season in the Championship, I say stick with them. If Pearce decides he wants to play for Reading then perhaps bring him in for a go, but I honestly think it matters little to our plight

Re: Attacking midfielders?

very few, if any sides in the prem play 4-4-2 with two traditional wingers. if you accept that at the moment our squad and our general play is best suited to this formation, then we simply won't play with an attacking midfielder, it would leave us too exposded. We've tried Marek, Howard and Guthrie ...
