Re: Replace NA with who?

Personally I'd stick with Nadkins. Same as I'd have stuck with McDermott. The thought of ending up with the likes of Colin or Fat Sam or Di Canio fears me with dread. At the point we do need a new man is it too early to add Brynjar to the list? Just think of the goal celebs he would bring from Stjar...

Re: What's to blame?

Appointing Adkins only made sense if Anton was prepared to back him with funds to change the whole ethos of the club to a more passing style. Reading between the lines this is what Nigel was promised and the basis on which he accepted the job. If we wanted someone to get the best out out of an aver...

Re: Why can't we create?!

So you actually think that in training tomorrow, Adkins will have his defenders practicing receiving the ball short from McCarthy, passing it between themselves a couple of times, before laying it back to McCarthy who then proceeds to smash it down the pitch to no one in particular? You actually thi...

Re: Le Fondre - Come and get me plea

We have no choice but to go for the latter. Reverting to how we used to play will just leave us to be in the same situation in 2 or 3 years time, asking the same questions. We have to accept that if we want a team that can survive in the Premiership, we will have to put up with a couple of turgid yea...

Re: On Target

No it's not.

Look at his Southampton and Scunthorpe sides.
And he got both of those promoted (Scunny twice)
Southampton twice as well.
Oh yeah. Memory's going in my old age.

Re: On Target

We start with zero urgency stroking it round the back four. Opposition close us down more and more, occasionally catching us in possession. We get rattLOLed. Get caught once too often and conceed. From then on we chase the game and look better. Someone once said 'attack is the best form of defence'...

Re: Nick Blackman Appreciation Thread

Since McDermott signed him I've struggled to see what either he or Adkins have seen in him. (Often brief) cameos in an inconsistent side weren't probably helping, however he didn't seem to take the opportunities when they came. Yesterday v forest he showed what he could do. Took on players, looked o...

Re: Forest Match Thread - Sponsored By Paxo Stuffing

So years on and Stuart Attwell is still seeing things that don't exist! Just how was that a second yellow for Gunter? He is facing the ball in an attempt to head it. He then seems to get his head on the ball and, having done so, falls backwards and into their player who is running across the back o...
