Nani worked with Duxburry (CEO) and Zola (Manager) at both West Ham and Watford. Maybe its all part of a masterplan !

Re: Clement

If you look at Clement's record at Swansea and Reading from start of 2017 season, he has played 32 games ,won 4, drawn 6, lost 22. At that rate we will get 26 points this season. I know you can't compare the two scenarios , but winners win and losers dont, and I'm afraid that linked with the doom me...

No its 14 games. 2 wins. More points with the Stam team that he inherited and had to change. Not even played a top team this season and still not won.

Survived all the changes at Arsenal with a new contract until 2020, together with Sal Bibo as no1 goalkeeping coach .

Wouldn't it be wonderful if we go to Cardiff having already secured status, and Colin needing to win for automatic !! Dreamland.

Didn't see Ed Franklin on the bench, and Karl H was handing out the drinks. Has EF paid the penalty for our awful injury record?

Re: who do you want as the new manager

Looks like its Clement, but please, please not Nigel Gibbs as his assistant as he was at Swansea. So really negative around the place and a major poor influence on the players by his character.

NH sure to leave WBA when Pardew fired. Would be a great idea, but I doubt Gourley would want somebody like him back in the fold.

Re: Club announces new manager!

The monies raised from the Development Centres goes to the Community Trust, not the Parent Club. The Academy structure is funded solely by RFC, so they are separate from an income stream viewpoint. Monies that go into the Trust are not subsequently directed back to RFC.

Re: Club announces new manager!

This is a brilliant appointment. Ged Roddy was a very good friend of Eamonn, and very supportive of our EPPP application. Superbly connected and very capable. Will be a great addition to our excellent coaches ( Doddsie etc)

Re: Who could replace Stam?

The expression "When the going gets tough, the tough get going" springs to mind. Where is the mighty Dutchman, leaving his loyal no2 to field all the flack at t his critical stage. No wins, no new signings, no hope, no Jaap!!

Re: Who could replace Stam?

I am now firmly of the view that Stam's time with us is spent. There appears to be a total lack of a coherent recruitment / sale plan during this window ( which may or not be his fault as RG/ BT and the Owners are equally culpable ) but his total lack of visibility this week exacerbates his relation...

2018 Uefa Club Licensing Benchmarking Report shows Sunderland net debt at £159m the 3rd highest in UK and ahead of Newcastle ( and 13th in Europe ). They spent £1.25m in the summer and it is suggested have no money to spend in January. And Ellis Short remains desperate to sell. Yet they meet Derby's...

Re: BFTG ‘Ull (A)

Swift was obviously in pain, and physio signalled straight away that he could not continue.

But still a poor performance against a very bad team. We created nothing in open play.
