Re: Which was worse

Lol talking about recency bias.

Especially as only fans over the age of 35 have any hope of remembering the other three.

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Unused sub today vs Brum. Winnall started with Vydra, Weimann and Nugent came off the bench.

Looks like Martin is at the bottom of the pecking order (well, except Nick Blackman...)

Re: Rumour - Chris Martin

Would be perfect for us, and seems to have slipped down the pecking order at Derby. A complete striker in his prime, loads of championship experience.

Massive yes from me if we can make it happen. Loan with option to buy, perhaps?

Re: Who could replace Stam?

Bizarre situation at Fulham, with Jokanovic having another open spat with their board. Perhaps if we sack Stam, we could do a reverse Steve Clarke and try and lure him here. He'd get the best out of Aluko at least. http://www.skysports.com/football/news/11681/11195631/slavisa-jokanovic-suggests-fulh...

Re: Theoretical: Sack Stam and replace with ...?

I was all for Pearson when we sacked McDermot in 2016 before Stam was appointed. Pearson went to Derby and I thought they would be dangerous. But his spell at Derby was an absolute shambles, so I'd be very wary of getting him in now. Club chairman getting involved with the team, Pearson hot headed ...

Some great play in the first half. Cardiff did well to fight back during the second half, think we didn't keep their wide men locked down as well as we had earlier.

Playing lots of long balls tonight. Critics should take note that Stam now seems to be showing plenty of adaptability.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (a) sponsored by 12 Parkinsons

Worth bearing in mind that that midfield 3 and front 3 were the ones that started at Derby. I would rather give Dadi a go over Beerens, but presumably there is a method there.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Wolverhampton Wanderers (h) sponsored by the search for a Saturday home win

Even if we lose (to the best and most expensive team outside the Premier League), it has been a very pleasing performance. Lots of chances, quick incisive passing and good pressing.

We've had Wolves pegged in their box for the best part of the last 15 mins.

Poor defending for the goal, think Ilori didn't track Cavaleiro.

But going forward we've actually looked really good. Swift's return might just turn our season around.

3-4-3 with Bacuna at RWB I suppose and Gunter on the left. Makes sense as Wolves only play 2 in midfield as well. Edwards dropped for Joey as an Edwards-Swift midfield might be too lightweight.

Shame Aluko not starting, must have had a knock.

Wow I remembered my password from 2003 ! hello hob nobbers, should be an interesting game on Saturday, what are your take on Dave Edwards and the Dadi Bodvarson ? Dadi has had limited gametime, mostly because he keeps picking up knocks, but so far he seems to be what you said we would- a hard worke...

Not sure if this has been posted already, but Vito Mannone has confimred that he does not have a major injury, but rather a knock and should be fit for the Wolves match.

Snowflake Royal It's why he bought Barrow, Aluko and Bacuna for example.

I jumped off my sofa when Aluko scored. That's exactly the kind of goal you expect from him, hopefully that's him up and running.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Mr Optimist Their fans normal response to a defeat is to suggest spunking a few more million of someone's money in the next transfer window. Not really worked in the last five years though has it.

Billy Sharp for £6 million and £30k a week should do it.

Pearce had a good spell under Rowett last season I believe.

Also for those who didn't know Nick Blackman is on loan at Maccabi Tel Aviv.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by first half away goal search

Kermie's first touch is to head it on from the goal kick, Derby defender with a bad back pass and Beerens picked it up and rounded the keeper.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (a) sponsored by first half away goal search

Gr8 goal from Aluko, and Swift is pulling all the strings.

Bacuna is bossing it in the middle, Derby just can't get to second balls.
