Re: MATCHWATCH : Bolton Wanderers (h) sponsored by back the boyz and make some noiz

Theroyalbox Ady Williams is a first class CNUT

No way, he was a great center back from the early 90's. A true leader, even at a young age.
That 94/95 team had such a good blend of youth and experience, perfect at that level.

Re: Stam to be sacked?

Best case scenario and we some how stay up, What then? Stan leaves by mutual consent and we get a new manager in realistically how much of an overhaul will there need to be in order to stop the same thing happening next season. I'm assuming there won't be loads of cash and I can't see many of the p...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Derby County (h) sponsored by When Saturday Comes

Well look on the positive side - we won't now have 10 men behind the ball and try to defend a slender lead for 80 mins before conceding an equaliser. No, we'll spend 8- minutes with 10 men behind the ball and try to catch them on the break to score an equaliser! Trouble is we'll have conceded 3 mor...

Jackson Corner Possession Reading 93% Derby 7%

Corners Reading 2 Derby 8
Fouls Reading 10 Derby 2
Reading 0 Derby (0) 2

Exactly,
That's true of most of our home games.
Surely

Re: Who still thinks Reading will avoid relegation...

On paper we should scrape survival, but football isn't played on paper. We're too predictable. Stam's so stubborn with his possession tactics it makes us easy to play against when we've lost confidence. The same player who can move the ball on quickly, without hesitation when confident will hesitate...

Ascotexgunner Bet he won't get the bullet even if it's 4-0 today.

He won't get the bullet if it's 10! Seems immortal to the board. Shocking.
Worst football since todgers.

Quite a lot of people predicting we actually score a goal or more.
Very difficult when we can't even muster more than 3 shots per game;

Boro >0 - 0 RFC

Re: The reason we're stuck with Stam

Well Wigan who finished 23rd with 42 points are running away with L1, Blackburn 22nd (51) are sitting 3rd, and Rotherham who were totally dogshit (23) are in 5th. Not saying it will be easy but you would have to fancy us. I can't believe we're actually discussing relegation as if it's not so bad! T...

Re: Boycott

This is probably repeating elements of several other threads but no one appears to have put it strongly enough yet. 80% of us want a change of manager but the owners are not hearing us. They appear not to follow the results and in any case when Reading lose a game it’s just another poor performance...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

I know. Anything but going down really. But I really feel sorry for clubs like Palace and Everton who get lumbered with horrible managers and now just have to wait for the next sacking before feeling any sort of unhinged optimism again.[/quote] We're averaging 3.46 shots on target per game. That's a...

Re: Unfortunately ANOTHER In or Out poll

In for me. I know he 100% deserves to go, but I will be sad when it happens and fearful for the future. Somehow, we must hold our nerve, and keep faith that he will get it right. If we get relegated, we get relegated. Whaaaaaat?? The football is pedestrian, very few attempts on goal, disorganised a...

Re: In or Out? New poll.

So bored of boring football and complaining about boring football. Even when we were winning last year we were all bored. Out for me. could not put it any better. Yep. It's the slow, boring possession game that pisses me off more than the results. The lack of chances. At least under McDermott there...

Re: In or Out?

Basic analysis: I think most people are confident that even if we don't improve much under Stam that we wont go down - we can beat enough bottom table teams at home to be comfortable. Also I think most people would accept that a new manager coming in is unlikely to lead to a promotion push. So our ...

genome I will literally give money for someone to sit by Stam's dugout tonight dressed up as the Grim Reaper

Fcuk that. He may be a sh1t manager, but he's still hard as fcuk. In fact, he probably IS the grim reaper. He's certainly killing our club!

Ha ha, exactly, but probably a 0-0 scoreline with Al-Habsi the hero again.
He's nailed on for player of the season already.
I guess we'll muster 3 attempts on target to their 10.

Very aggressive from OP as usual. They only get murmuring when they play it in dangerous areas which gives the opposition the chance to trap us around our own box. Immediately before the international break complaints had quietened because we were playing it higher up the pitch. However, the passin...
