Re: ITV are a disgrace

I thought it was fine, but then I always liked the Championship - Reading being on telly at all is still a novelty. We were second game on - despite only being championship teams - and the programme was only an hour long, so there was not enough time to set the scene for every game. At least we wer...

Re: Back from the game WBA

cmonurz At the end of the day it is all that matters.

Doesn't stop it being a shite finish.

Two great touches, followed by a chip that an England goalie couldn't clear, followed by a decisive shot into the net. That's pretty good finishing.

Re: Back from the game WBA

Excellent game: as good as I have seen for ages. I thought we were through. From my view in the upper West, Long's red card was never in doubt: from the second he left the ground he was off. Federici was good, Griffin was fantastic. Gunnarson's passing was better than Karacan's, but you can't fault ...

Re: Player of the Season 2009/10

Tony Le Mesmer Well seeing as POTS seems to only be based on form after Feb, i wouldnt be suprised.

Remember the season when Harper couldnt pass water until this time of year, whilst Forster carried the whole team? And who was it who won POTS?

Re: could we finnish 22nd and stay up?

retro royal Still partially blame Portsmouth for our relegation when they played that weak side against Fulham before there FA Cup final.

Deserve all they get.

And nicking Primus off us.

Buying Tommy Smith with money they didn't have is a slightly more pertinent complaint.

Re: Will Wayne Bridge get boo'd at Chelsea?

If they can't come up with something better than a simple booing, they should be ashamed of themselves. The man has been cuckolded and there is a 1000-year history of piss-taking to draw upon.

Re: Matt Mills - Nail hit squarely on the head!

He is showing a good mix of passing at the moment: some neat short passing, the occasional decisive hoof out of danger, with only the odd Barry Hunter ball straight into touch. The point is, he is reasonably confident on the ball, and doesn't panic too much. Murty was never for a minute worth the £8...

FFS the red card is for stopping a goal

If it is accidental it isn't a penalty.

Re: Doncaster match thread sponsored by Rugby on in the pub!

Excellent from Federici, Long and Howard.
A bit rubbish from Mills, but that made the last 16 minutes all the more enjoyable. We will really miss him in the next game.

Re: Have Reading done enough this transfer window?

No
We should have got hold of a first-choice centre forward to go straight into the team and off-loaded a few of the passengers.

Somebody must have seen Federici on a train to Liverpool, or Sturridge's car parked outside the Madejski.

Re: If you could change 1 rule in football

I would like to see the bit about the benefit of the doubt going to the attacker for offsides being enforced a bit more rigorously. Unless it's blatantly obvious, it should be a goal. Keith Hackett tried to clear up the offside rule in the Observer a couple of years ago, complaining that pundits, wh...

Sarah Star Is Madejski back from holiday tomorrow? I'd have thought he'd want to give the good news in person.

No
I think he'd let the news be released using rumours on an internet message board a day earlier.

I hope Sidwell gets in to the Wembley team, love to see ex RFC players that gave us their all do well, and he is no exception. Me too. I am also enjoying seeing Hunt do well at Hull. Sidwell was great for us and always gave 100% even when he had signed the pre-contract agreement for Chelsea and mus...

Still Hate Futcher! [

Chalk and cheese.
Armtrong was one of the worst hoofball culprits and Bertrand passes it quite nicely setting up his winger nearly every time.

Re: Florist (A) Match Thread

At least Marek would had scored the penalty, frankly, I wish someone else, like Tabb or Karacan had taken it. Would he? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5YykQx28j2w That wasn't his fault though. If he had been in a better team that would have been a goal. His penalty was just too good for a goal in a...
