Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just a thought, considering that Dai isn`t exactly on the EFLs Christmas card list at the minute do you think if a takeover isn`t completed by the time the fixtures are released in June that they would expel us from the league? I`m sure they wouldn`t want this shambles to continue into next season ...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

People also have short memories with regards to EFL punishments. We recently as a club got a game abandoned, which meant Port Vale had to travel to our ground twice, the second time on a weeknight (so had smaller away following) and lost. Did we get a points deduction as the FA rules allow? No we g...

Re: Carlisle (A)

Just seen pompey fans complaining on Facebook about the view from on of the blocks. Not sure which block though. Here are some pictures so I would chose your seats wisely. As they look horrendously bad As Sutekh posted the stand is misaligned to the pitch. Frankly I think they are taking the piss p...

SBWD have issued new statement. I sometimes think SBWD need to consider the bigger picture and why these punishments are levied. Yep. I could do an annotation of what is wrong with that SBWD statement. Most paragraphs to be honest. Para 1 - You need sporting sanctions to stop clubs from breaching f...

Re: #SellBeforeWeDai (to someone fit and proper)“ supporters action group

I think the problem was the majority of fans appeared to chose to stick to the belief that Pompey deserved it and Reading dont. Polarised views attract polarised views from both sides and hence the animosity. Both clubs completely deserved the problems they've had. What does a club do to deserve th...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

Not especially sure what this extra 2 points is meant to achieve but it is what it is Will at least focus the minds again. Felt on Saturday that the team were a bit complacent, as were the fans. Also there was very little anti-dai which will kick back up again Could it be that the players had alrea...

Re: Embargos, HMRC Payment defaults, non payment of wages, the usual under Dai Wrongge

F*cking EFL - they seem to deliberately string out the process and hit us at the last moment. IMO their claims to care about the club are absolute crap. They are very definitely not fit for purpose. Football doesn't just have an ownership problem, it clearly also has a governance problem. Doubtless ...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Think we heard lots of positive noises in the autumn and it turned out to be hot air. Skepticism and pessimism is my natural standpoint now. It could be that things are positive behind the scenes, or this could just be noise to appease fans and hold off protests. Totally understandable. Protests ar...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

Some right melts overreacting to today. It was a bad result and bad performance, it happens even to the best team in this league. This squad must be out on its feet after such a packed schedule in February. Respond with 4 or 6 points from Carlisle and Wycombe and all is fine. Agreed, On a level pla...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

AthleticoSpizz Todays consolation being….a few months ago at 0-2 down, we would’ve gone on to lose 4-0.

Fully agree with that. The team showed a great deal of character to come back from the two early goals conceded the way that they did.

Re: MATCHWATCH : Shrewsbury Town (h)

Seen a replay of the first. Button can definitely save it. He takes a step towards the middle of the goal when the shot is taken, meaning he can't get remotely close to it. Must be time for Pereira soon? Will watch the replays but felt well positioned to see from East Stand, and currently don't agr...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

I'd been thinking Mbengue has big potential, but after almost two seasons and at 22 bit concerned he's still making some crazy stupid decisions. But Dorsett looked like he could also make an excellent foil to Bindon, pre injury. Savage is improving nicely and still only 20. His decision making may ...

https://twitter.com/SellBeforeWeDai/status/1760242356958204073 Edited highlights: @SellBeforeWeDai We are going to postpone the London protest. There are two reasons for this: 1. Logistical 2. Strategic I assumed it wasn't going to happen on Sunday with the lack of update before now. It's obvious t...

Re: Selles In

Credit where credit is due. After the debacle of the earlier part of the season, I felt he should be got rid off and maybe bring in Noel Hunt to manage the team. Hwever, he has learnt how to get the best out of his squad and - importantly - has got a positive mental attitude into the players. To me...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Crossed my mind last night and seen it being commented today but with PA belting out "three little birds" last night at half time - is that a sign? Also, impressed how randomly everyone else joined in to sing. Three Little Birds has become a really popular thing to sing at loads of footba...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

From the Port Vale forum: I agree. I wish we had an owner who’d put some money in like Daii Yoonge. I don’t know what Reading fans were moaning about. That squad of theirs is chock full of players who earn much more than ours and they were still paying Andy Carroll 15k a week until about October. O...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

I expect having the ball slapped out of his hands at Pompey may have factured in to his thinking. It was a shit punch, but I'm not outraged he chose to punch. He was going through a crowd. I think we may be talking about a different occasion because I don't recall him going through a crowd on the o...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Port Vale (h)

If we go on a run and look safe with time to spare, surely it has to be worth giving CBC a run? There is a lot of risk changing your keeper when the stakes are high (see Scott Carson England in 2007), but Button simply isn't very good and can't be the long term solution. But perhaps CBC could be? I...
