Re: MATCHWATCH : Stevenage (a)

Steve Evans is a throw back to a time of football played on pitches that would have graced the Somme, John Beck being hailed as a tactical genius and 2 points for a win. Most of his sort went when that Asteroid hit the Yucatan Penisular a few Years back............................................. ...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

Think i'll stick to 'Stow for a few more years yet based on the advice. There is a strong possibility i just end up going to Leyton Orient games with her instead and become a Leyton fan. Appreciate this is sacrilege on a football forum. I think that absolutely makes sense and plan to do the same (C...

Comments from Stevenage... Anyone noticed we kicked in to the wind both halvesAnyone noticed we kicked in to the wind both halves According to the historical weather reports for Stevenage, the wind was unchanged in direction throughout the game. So, if they were playing into a wind in the second ha...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

Took my nephew when he was about 8 or 9. Personally think less than 10 is a bit young to get much out of it. I can't imagine many 4 year olds I've spent time with enjoying a whole match. But you're the one who knows your daughter, what she likes, what her attention span is, what she's like with cro...

Re: How early have you taken your children to a game and it be ok?

IIRC both our son and daughter were four when I took them to their first games. Both games were away to Wycombe and again, IIRC, the turnstile operator just told me to lift them over the gate. Both loved it and have done ever since, through good and bad times. Our granddaughter was just nine months ...

Royals and Racers Sunderland down to 10 on 35 mins- no 6 sent off for pulling Roberts hair !!!
H-T 0-0
1-0 Perry 77 mins

13+ very long minutes to come! Could've done with Grace Moloney to run down the clock! She was world class at that, made Lumley look like a rank amateur!

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

TVP a bit heavy handed I thought. Massively. Seemed a total over-reaction to a completely isolated incident of some people fighting in Reading town centre last time. To have loads of stewards on every gangway throughout the game and on the back row, on top of the police presence doesn't reflect any...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Oxford United (a)

Dorsett struggled all game and looked out of his depth. Azeez didn't put a foot right. Wing, Yiadom and Binden the pick of the bunch, Knibbs and Craig lots of effort but not enough composure. Great cameos from Wifi and Savage. TVP a bit heavy handed I thought. On BBC Oxford their lot were describin...

blythspartan Other results great for us today and very much a point gained.

Could someone please convey that to Ady WIlliams and his mates at BBCRB. They were extraordinarily negative today, although Ady keptr saying he was just being a realist!

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Firesale for the women's team too. Tbf, the league in the States is great and moving to Seattle is a great opportunity The league in the US is certainly a step up from where Reading FC Women are currently languishing. However, it is now way behind WSL1 where Reading could and should've been but for...

Re: Reading FC Womens World

Not quite as bad as it could've been then. Primmer got herself sent off in the 6th minute of added time! She strikes me as something of a hot head - see more tweets 'Yellow card for Primmer' than we see goals for the women! She is a very good player though, in a way that makes me think of Francesca...

Re: The Caylan Vickers thread

Shame. Good luck to him, should have played more. Hope we got something semi decent for him. Should he? Apart from his first 2 or 3 appearances he showed he wasn't ready for the first team. Couldn't get involved, no strength, had very little impact on games. It will come, i'm sure of that, but he d...

Reading4eva Do a search for the first man mentioned in this video.

If true, appears Dai might have some friends in some powerful places!

Not really sure what all this is about mind!

This is so grim. The women's team could be set to drop yet another level. The barsteward Dai really has destroyed everything that was good about our club.

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Just flatten it all and get on with building the Biscuit Tin Megadome somewhere dayn tayn The Festival site would be perfect - we could charge rent for some of it to be hosted in our new ground. Would be just over a mile from Reading Station and just under a mile from Reading West. There's probably...

Re: TAKEOVER *NOT* CONFIMRED

Tim has his show at 6pm tonight so hopefully might be a bit more. Timescales pretty much as I was expecting, should be plenty of time to check through all 8 interested parties, and any bids, to ensure whatever buyers/bids are put on the final table is as kocher as they can be. Good that Dai SEEMS t...
