Re: Rumour - Karacan to Besiktas?

I remember reading somewhere that Karacan said that he was asked if he would like to come to Turkey, he said no, he'd miss living in England. Or something like that. He actually did go an play for Galatasary's under 16s or something, and hated the culture, the food, etc. He described it as the wors...

Re: SPECULATION - Willo Flood

LOL again. Celtic would comfortably beat reading- on a consistent basis. I can't believe you are comparing a team who beat man united in the champions league, with a decent home record in europe.... to someone who couldn't win at home in the championship for at least 1 third of last season. Rangers...

Other point of note- Doyle was a £73k signing, which rose to £325k or so when we bought his sell on off Cork.

Re: Biggest piece of robbery?

matejovski, kebe, mills, nhunt, stretch, .......... Fae, Cisse, Rosenior, Mooney, Bikey. That's about £10m if you think of Rosenior as £1.5m (what we paid for Seol). Do we include Halford or Fae, really? They were both 'ins' before we started the 'asset stripping' if that's what you wish to call it...

Re: Back From The Game - Nottm Forest

Thaumagurist* I've just read on the official site that we made 483 passes.

That's FOUR HUNDRED EIGHTY THREE passes!

And we only had 2 shots on goal from all those passes.

Precisely.

Re: Bikey's suspension

He played well there at Anfield, but I don't really mind. I think I'd like to see him up front

For me, he's our best defender. It's worth playing him if he makes one major mistake a season and overhits a few passes, because little gets past him. Remember him at Molineux?

Re: Team for Burton Albion

The FA Cup is a chance to build momentum but the Carling Cup isn't? Eh?

Of course, Royalee, if Coppell had said that he'd have been wrong.

My team:

Hamer; Kelly, Mills, Pearce, Armstrong; Gunnarsson; Matejovsky, Sigurdsson; HRK, Henry; NHunt

Re: Back From The Game - Nottm Forest

Forest have appealed. Royalee- isn't that my title? I thought Rosenior was better than most are giving credit for. He was the only one of the back six (including Fed and Jem) who was prepared to pass forwards. He played one great ball, and then everything kicked off. He also saved a goal. He...

Re: Stephen Hunt to Hull - fee agreed

Hunt deserves a clap, because when he played well he was a good player. However, like Lita, he had long unproductive periods. Perhaps it was to his disadvantage that we all have the memories of Little and Convey being amazy for a season fresh in our minds. Hunt was never a class above. He was voted ...

Biggest piece of robbery?

It was bought to my attention that we're very good at getting clubs to pay over the odds for our players. So, of those to leave in the past two years, which was the best deal for RFC? All fees are as accuracte as possible, and I'm not including tiny sales or frees. Hunt's fee is the most widely quot...

Re: Stephen Hunt to Hull

The 1st 3 months of the 2nd PL season he was our best player. (Did he not get Player of the Season award?) The first couple of months of last season he was our best player. +1 People have short memories. And he was never our worst player. Ever. On both occasions I'd have Doyle ahead of him, and in ...

brendywendy and RFC is literally the pinnacle of footballing ambition for.............

Dave Kitson

FWIW, whilst Rangers clearly have a better history, both they and Celtic are the worst they've been for about a decade IMO- if we're not as good as them, we're not far off atm.

brendywendy mills has had 45 mins of a preseason.........

Alternatives: one of two midfielders.

If he's not fit, Cisse could go in, but ideally Mills gets the nod.

Re: What the Papers Say: Season 09/10 Previews

It's a terrible formation too... Rosenior at centre back, the wingers the wrong way around, and BR very much a 4-3-3 manager?

Oh, and SHunt in the team. Says it all.
