Re: Run of Six pointers

The 4 home games in that list - plus Fleetwood and Carlisle - are must wins IMHO. Drawing is only slightly better than losing, which is why despite only having lost once in the last 10 games, we are still in the bottom 4; we have to start converting those draws into wins, and sooner rather than late...

Mr Angry Chris Wilder said that Palace wouldn't even accept £50M for either Olise or Eze right now.....

They won't accept $50M from Sheffield United or won't accept from anybody?

Anybody.

Sheff Utd don't have £50 at the moment, let alone £50M!

Do a search for the first man mentioned in this video. If true, appears Dai might have some friends in some powerful places! https://youtu.be/pFVPZKgmjAE?si=gW3eMBN-SlerPUrx Not really sure what all this is about mind! Believe that Dai's father was head of the Chinese Central Bank. In communist sta...

Re: Record Watch 23/24

Just had a look at the most consecutive seasons in the top flight of English football (ie: both the Premier League AND the old Division 1). Quite surprising really; not the top 7 (which are easy to guess), but the teams in 8th, 9th and joint 10th, and the number of Years spent consecutively in the t...

I've tried Joh Howell (although hold only the faintest of hopes that he'll even respond)! "Dear John, I hope this email finds you well and recovered from the party's turmoil over the previous few years. I write a constituent and Reading FC fan to implore you to speak to the Secretary of State ...

That play-off final between Derby and Villa was basically a contest on who's gamble would pay off and who would face a financial crisis. People only seem to care about fire safety once the house has burned down. When a large percentage of clubs are living well beyond their means, it shouldn't come ...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

I have had a banner made I hoping to get displayed at our Wolves game next Monday which is on TV. I don't know how to upload an image but it says Brighton Fans want Dia Yongge out Save Reading FC Fans United It's a small gesture but I hope that if they see fans of other clubs care, it may help. Tha...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

From todays BBC Sport website: Speaking to BBC Radio Berkshire earlier on Monday, James Sunderland - MP for Bracknell - said he would have joined Reading fans on the pitch had he been at Saturday's abandoned match. Royals supporter Sunderland was not able to be in his usual seat at the Select Car Le...

https://twitter.com/danmarkgreen83/status/1746931025932878194 No idea how reputable this account is, but it's reporting £300k as a combined fee. Which should cover us for 2 months at most? So bad it almost feels vindictive. The post appears to have been deleted. If it is £300k for both then that's ...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Proud of those fans today that stood their ground and that they didn't whimper off. It had to be done. I remember Blackpool doing the same and it eventually ended up contributing to the Indian owners selling up...,.so here's hoping. Blackpool supporters wanted the Oysten's out, not Indians. Ah..you...

Re: Do you agree with todays pitch invasion and match abandonment?

Personally, whilst I support fans protesting in whichever way they feel they need to, I don't agree with what happened today. What was the aim? If it was to make Dai sell up, then has that happened? Will it happen because of today? I suggest the answer is no. What is far more likely is that the club...

Reading that submission, there is no way the EFL can disqualify Dai after the breach of the order, as the Wigan owners breached it twice and weren't even threatened with disqualification, and there are no precedents for the EFL to shut a club down (regardless of the more wild interpretations expres...

Can I ask that, when the "leaders" of the pitch invasion steam onto the pitch, can they wear T-Shirts with their Hob Nob names on them so we can see if those on here are capable of walking the walk as well as talking the talk? Otherwise you will all seem like a bunch of school kid keyboard...

I remember going to watch Reading beat Port Vale at Vale Park 20 or so Years ago, and got onto the local BBC Radio Stoke post match phone in saying that Brian Horton needed to consider his position having lost at home to us, and to be followed by a succession of Port Vale fans phoning in to agree wi...

Re: Charlie Savage to Derby

Is it worth recounting the infamous "Kevin Doyle wanted by Aston Villa" rumour from yesteryear? After Reading played Villa in the 2nd game of our 1st Premier League season myself and a couple of other nobbers decided to show how transfer rumours start. So we posted an entirely fictitious s...
