Re: The generic transfer thread

According to German media Barcelona have been teying to negotiate a fee to (re)sign Thiago, with Bayern saying no less than €90M. Thiago himself heard this and told Barca to do one having not shown faith in him before and has said he wants to sign a new contract at Bayern.

Re: Ups & downs 16/17

It's very easy when the team in question is Bolton. For some it's 1995, for me it's the decade of anti-football under Allardyce, the fcuking gimp flag waving bollocks they used to do before each game, the shitty drummers who sounded like an angry wasp in a jar, their shitty stadium which is 10 time...

Re: Rival Watch

78 points is highest recorded to ensure play-offs (although that same season it was GD that decided it  ), 68 the lowest. https://c2.staticflickr.com/4/3707/32569490840_2cd3500d4e_b.jpg Last season you could avoid relegation by getting 40 points but 3 years earlier 54 points sent you down. Re: Attendances

I'd expect the attendances in northern places where there are no jobs to be well down if that was solely the case. But then I suppose there is nothing else to do there bar watching the football. drinking in run down looking working mens clubs beating their wives being racist talking about old times...

If Brighton come down in the first 2 years and don't go str8 back up then I would expect them to be in the same situation we are attendance wise

Re: Attendances

'new money' club, no long term history of big time football in the area, close enough to London for fans to migrate there instead, poor positioning of the stadium, lack of promotion/awareness of the club in the area, recent history of hitting the glass ceiling, football is quite pricey these days. u...

Re: Music at the ground

I have been tempted at times to sneak up to the front doors of Microphone Man, Satsuma, Tony Tiger etc in the middle of the night and play some static feedback at 100dB's through their letterbox.

Re: Music at the ground

My favourite bit is where the PA system goes wrong and crackles loudly every game giving half the stadium an instant headache That's what I said... Forget the music. They seriously need to sort the microphone/speaker system out. The distortion is really annoying when they're no speech but the mic i...

Re: PFA Teams Of The Year

Handsome Man The big controversy was of course that Dele Alli can't be player of the season - madness.

according to some presenter on Talksport (least reliable source known to man) a PL player told him that it's because other footballers don't like Alli, as he acts like a right pcunt on the pitch.

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Personally, I think Fulham started it all by spaffing £12m on McCormack on the back of 1 decent season for Leeds. £11M, of which £5.5M was a payment upon Fulham being promoted to the PL, the other £5.5M was not a flat fee as it included a match appearance payment and the whole of that bit was stagg...
