Re: Newcastle ( A) match thread sponsored by Danny Guthrie

Play well against Brighton and manage to get a result, like we did against Preston, tonight will all be forgotten about. A bit like we forget about McDermott, until we lose. You might, I tend to respect ex managers who actually achieved something with Reading. Oh I have the utmost respect for them....

Re: Newcastle ( A) match thread sponsored by Danny Guthrie

4-1, harsh surely Against a very very poor team............... Give me strength, they've spent £40m and just needed to find their feet. Multitude of talent in that squad. Exactly this. Newcastle should be hitting the ground running. Stam needs time. At least 10 games before we can judge him. And th...

Re: Newcastle ( A) match thread sponsored by Danny Guthrie

Seems like we should just start with 10 men each week as our strikers contribute naff all in this system.

Re: Newcastle (A) Predictions

Head says 2-0 Newcastle

Heart says 1-0 with Mendes to score the winner reaching to his sock to grab a can of carabao, downing it then running all the way to our end of the ground and celebrating by whipping off his new green away shirt to reveal a carabao tattoo emblazoned across his beastly torso.

Re: Season Ticket Turnstile Issues Against Preston

As I said above, my card was handed over against Preston and I was told 3 days. As yet, no new ST card has arrived. So will be giving the TO a call on Monday to have a good old oxf*rd whinge. To be fair to the ticket office, when I went in before the Preston game and explained the situation, they p...

Re: Season Ticket Turnstile Issues Against Preston

Glad I wasn't the only one then; there were others against Preston at the same gate, having the same problems as me, so I was surprised not many had said anything on here. Re: Wolves Away (Predictions)

maffff Wolves 2 - Reading 3.

Reading go 0-2 up in the first half. Early goal 3rd half, last half hour we let two in and a nervy final minutes at 3-2.

3rd half you say

I'm going with a 1-2. Goals from Swift and a late winner from Meite. Marvellous.

Re: Team for Plymouth

Expecting a nice mix of youth and experience. Jaakkola Watson McShane Cooper Gunter Kelly Evans Barrett Harriott Kermorgant Meite I'd be very surprised if Stam risks Obita following the knock at the weekend. . cramp Must be some cramp, he didn't play last night and Stam said he might not make Wolves.

Re: Season Ticket Turnstile Issues Against Preston

The bloke two ahead of me had trouble. Although rather than leaving and dealing with it he insisted on trying it 4 times, then rubbing it on his jeans and trying again, then trying his son's who was already in, then his own again, then having an argument with his kid then trying to force the barrie...

Season Ticket Turnstile Issues Against Preston

Did anyone else have problems? I called the TO last week and was informed to use my card from last year, only to find when I tried to go through the turnstile it would not work. Polite Spotty teenager outside the gate took my details, took my card and told me a new one will be posted within 3 days. ...

Re: Jaap being Honest

Very down to earth and summed up the game well in his post match interview yesterday. "We had a lot of possession in the first half and dominated the game totally. We created a couple of very good chances but did not finish it off. We should have scored a second goal. "Some of our play was...

Re: Solar Power at the Mad Stad

Considering the amount of use the floodlights get, it always baffles me why clubs don't install solar panels on the roofs of their stadiums. It will save them in the long-run. It's storing the power which is the issue. But lots happening with battery storage from the likes of teslar. The club would...

Winchester Royal I like seeing flags at games, so I reckon go with it.

The Mad Stad needs more flags.
