The Surgeon of Crowthorne How on earth is Elokobi a premier league left back?

How is Hunt a professional footballer - let alone a Premiership one

Well, it is the second half of the season now.

Re: Tim Dellor says...

I have no particular beef with Tim's commentary , apart from one thing: "...and it's back to one-one" He says this everytime we or the opposition score to level the game and it gets on my tits. You can't go "back" to one-one, Tim. You can go back to all-square, but you don't get ...

Re: The Manager Sack Race/Merry-go-Round 2011/2012

Paul Buckle gets the boot at Bristol Rovers after only 7 months. It seems getting rid of Stuart Cambell was as much the catalyst as losing to Crewe and Barnet over Xmas.

I saw he was ill but missed the news of his death. Liked the booze apparently and was a heavy smoker. Hell of a talent though. RIP in peace

Re: Gylfi returning on loan?

Looks like there may be some substance to this. Mate of mine saw Gylfi's agent, Ruel Fox driving him to the Madstad. Was this in between running his restaurant in Ipswich which is the last i heard he was doing? Jeez, Norrers, would've thought you'd been around long enough to spot a whoosh. Or have ...

I can only imagine those that think Harte is the answer have just been asked "who's the slowest player in Reading's squad?"

Re: What the papers say: Cardiff

but the in-form Whittingham picked up possession 25 yards from goal, spotted Federici off his line and produced a sensational dipping lob to put his side ahead.

Like fcuk did he intend that as a shot, he was just lobbing that back into the area.

Ticket office number

Anyone know the landline equivalent number to the ticket office 0844 249 1871 number? Such numbers are blocked on my desk phone and the mobile signal here is crap. Before anyone suggests the "saynoto0870" site, I've tried there and they only have the old 0870 number.
Cheers

Re: REFWATCH: Reading v Derby County

Yep, that was it. Thanks, Mr A. At the time, wasn't so irate about the pen not given as we were ahead (despite having played like drains). That was, of course, until the phantom time added on and equaliser with the last kick of extra time.

I remember being shocked at his performance in the Northampton cup game but I now can't remember why (but I don't think it was over the cards)

Re: Any point taking Rooney?

I can't believe people are questioning the ban. If it was a domestic game, it would have been an automatic 3-match ban as it was violent conduct. If he does go, he'll only end up playing (at most) 1 game as we'll go out in the quarters as usual anyway.

Re: Boro' Match thread, Sponsored by 27°C Heat in October

That was a much better performance than Tuesday, somewhat perversely even though we didn't have a shot on target in the second half. I think our substitutions played into their hands and invited them onto us

Re: Back from the game - Brizzle City

Truly a game of 2 halves, well the first 70 and then the last 20. First 70 minutes, we could honestly have been 5 down, the back 4 were constantly isolated by quick City breaks, the midfield were miles from the defence and Church, LeFondre and Hunt might well as not been there, especially Church wh...

Re: The official Champions League 2011-2012 thread

Stranded United being ripped apart at time by Benfica at the mo, 1-0 to the Portugese.

2 goals of a far higher quality than the rest of the game - so far.
