Re: Harper off to Boro, says Echo

Middlesbrough are hoping to sign James Harper and Nicky Shorey before Monday's transfer deadline, skysports.com understands. Reading captain Harper is on his way to Teesside to undergo a medical after talks between the two clubs. It is believed Boro have agreed a deal with the Berkshire club, somet...

Re: Harper off to Boro, says Echo

I am pretty sure Harps won't go. He is crucial to us here and there's a good chance we will be in the prem next year and Boro won't be. Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! You're sounding desperate there mate. Don't care about him personally, but I can not see why you love him so much! I'd rather see Hunt stay than Ha...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Ok going for a trebble of

Villa, MK Dons and Morecambe (note the spelling Readingfanman)
and
Reading, Swansea and Blackburn

Probably put a £1 on a silly accy as well, just for fun.

Arsenal, Fulham, Hull, Bristol City, Burnley, Cardiff, Wolves, Leicester, Stockport, Bradford and wycombe.

Yes, I was one of the 4. I dislike Preston. As do my friends.

Re: Best chants you've heard this season?

At Preston there were three northen guys sitting behind us who kept singing this song. It was along the lines of "What do we think of Preston, Shit, What do we think of shit, Preston" and then i don't have a clue what came after but i remember hearing tits and c**ts and fannys. Was pretty...

Re: Dave Mooney to join Stockport

"Unless they are Irish" What a stupid comment! We'll gladly take back Doyle ,Mooney and Long seeing as you have such little regard for them. I think he was being sarcastic if you read the whole thing. He is basicly saying speculation about signing strikers bores him, especially if they ar...

Re: Who is the weakest link?

I was going to bring this up, well done on saving me time. At present, our squad is fine, however, we may need to strengthen a lot upon promotion. Fedders and Marcus are both good enough for the PL. Rosenior is perfectly fine. Bikey will need a partner, because neither Doobs or Ivar are good enough...

Re: £35,000 week loan signing on his way to Reading FC!

I have it on good authority that Reading are currently negotiating with a top flight club bringing in a high earner to get this player off their wage bill to fund new players. Rumours are that this player is Gareth Bale but that is unconfirmed - i do know that a high profile loan deal is on the car...

Re: Games you can remember because they were so boring

Stoke City 0 Reading 0. 13 January 2001. I think there was only truely one, maybe 2 efforts on target in the entire match. I also took a neutral friend to this match who has not bothered to see Reading play since, it was the most boring game ever. However, Reading 0 Luton Town 0 Boxing day in 95, ma...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Double on Reading and Wolves, might make it a trebble with Newcastle away against Hull. I'll see on the day.

Think I may go also for a double upset with both Scunny and Leicester winning. Could see them both coming in.

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

My trouble is I don't come on the site often, and I do my footy bets sat morning so I can only tell you what I'm thinking of betting on. Also the £5 on Gerrard was a spare of the moment thing. I don't mind people saying afterwards, it doesn't exactly matter. I just find it interesting to read what ...

Re: 2008/09 SEASON BETTING THREAD pg60onwards

Barca and Real Madrid £1 returns £4.40 At nearly 5/1 that could be worth a punt. Anyone know what a £10 double on Hull and West Brom would return? Oh, just btw, I got back to my losing ways last weekend. £126, big fella. Thanks for that. I think that will be my main backing then, I might have a few...
