Re: BFTG - Charlton

From the East Stand you could only hear Charlton, they were loud all the way through. Could not hear a peep from club 1871, I guess that if you are in amongst it, then it seems a lot louder. There were definitely large portions where Charlton were sat doing nothing in the first half. We did sing a ...

Re: BFTG - Charlton

foir me it looked more like putting on two wingers for two wing backs as a change in formation
rather than like for like, playing the two subs as wing backs

Re: BFTG - Charlton

Really? Barely heard a peep from them until their goal. After that, yeah pretty class. But easy when you're winning. Yeah that. Bemused by the comments about their fans tbh. Hardly made a sound till they scored. At least from my seat From the East Stand you could only hear Charlton, they were loud ...

John Smith
Hendo
John Smith No beef. I love coffee more than anyone but football is about beer and bovril.

Corrected for you.

True.

Anyway, the food is obviously first class but I think the queues make it pointless. Anyone disagree?

Re: BFTG - Charlton

Edged first half, should have capitalised. They were the better team 2nd half and we couldn't get into the game. They deserved the win on balance, but if puscas shot had gone on it would have been different. Rafael 8 Moore 6, Mcintyre and Morrison 7 Wing backs 6 Pele 6 Swift/Ejaria 8 first half, 2nd...

Enjoyed the game. On top first half. 2nd best 2nx half, couldnt get on the ball, Charlton looked very good.
Unlucky with 1st goal, not sure about the pen.

Re: BFTG - Plymouth (A)

Too early to tell obviously, but any signs Obita will be able to challenge Richards? It'll be interesting if/when he does come back to full fitness. Absolutely. He’s the best left back we have at the club and without doing anything spectacular just showed a couple of glimpses of quality. He’s still...

Re: BFTG - Cardiff

It's not really true that with WBs we only have one defender on the wing, is it? Since we have an extra CB and the three can shuffle left-right we more or less have two defenders per wing, don't we? We were letting in goals pre-season because the 442 FBs were stranded up field, once because McIntyr...

Re: The Local Journo Thread

Can anyone clear up what happened. I got in the car after the game and Tim and Adie were talking about a Tweet that Yak had sent out being a bit cryptic, then a few minutes later they said it was because a 'fan' had tweeted Yak with something quite nasty. Also, I heard that Tim was bitching about t...

really very impressed. with the change in formation and the managers willingness to play to our strengths/protect our weaknesses. impressed with new players and the way those new players fit into that formation. impressed with how quickly those new players have slotted in. having a steady keeper loo...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

They've been treated atrociously. Fair enough getting Popa or someone who has never performed for us to train with the kids but treating 2 long term servents of the club who have been nothing but superb both on and off it so poorly is really shit. And tbh I think they both have something to offer t...

Re: Gunter, GMac and 'the Reading way'?

love em both to bits but theres no way we can continue to pay them 20+k per week to not play, so they need to be shifted on by whatever means necessary. its not a charity, and for the club there can be no real room for sentiment. that said, any fans dishing out stick to them on twitter are grade A c...
