Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Did wonder why the game tomorrow was an 8pm ko. Good to see midweek games are back on the red button, means i'll be able to see games regularly again (as said before don't do streams anymore). Obviously i'll get my apologies in early if we don't win tomorrow! Bonus getting the other two games picked...

Bwahahahhaha Floyd street aka Neil maskell reporting on the Maidenhead game on bbc berks  THE floyd__streete.? Well not the ex Reading player, so not ‘THE’. But the member who used to post on here. Having just done a quick google search he's also been the Maidenhead PA for the last 5 years a...

Re: Swift to... Southampton

Apart from being one of our best players the two years in a row he was here? There's just no point getting into it with anyone who didn't rate Norwood at the time and hasn't changed their mind after watching him leave us well behind in his rear view mirror. I remember people saying he offered nothi...

Re: If you didn't support Reading, who would you have supported and why?

Man Utd - the first club I took an interest in, although not sure would have gone to a game. Also Maidenhead as when I got into football in 1995 started looking out for their results in the Advertiser, they were my local team. Definitely could imagine going to a game had I not moved away that year a...

Re: Season 20/21

Comparing Ifollow to a match day experience is nonsensical. £10 per match is steep, especially when you consider how generally shit the software is. There's nothing wrong with the software. Yeah they oxf*rd up demand management for the first lockdown game, but they fixed that before the first half ...

Re: Season 20/21

From my side, am of the view that I can't change what us happening, we are a soap opera and our character is either about to win the lottery or be killed off. Might as well enjoy the ride. My perspective is I can't change it, but I can decide whether to be a part of it. This is no longer the club I...

Re: On this day

Remember being on holiday when the news came through that that Sunderland game was called off and how disappointed I was. Even then it felt significant, weeks until the next game and felt like that was the time to face them.

Re: The Non - League thread

The Football Supporters Association are running a survey on the return of non league. Worth a few clicks https://thefsa.org.uk/news/what-should-the-return-to-non-league-look-like/ If things are OK enough for "mass gatherings" of up to, say 500 people, this could help non-league clubs a lo...

Re: Rumour - Josh Laurent

Not heard of him or know whether he's good enough to make the step up, but would rather sign someone from the lower leagues who Bowen knows over some unknown from abroad with no experience of English football.

The biggest positive for me is that Bowen has wanted him for 6 months, good interview too.

Re: Swift to... Southampton

If we could get a decent fee for him, then I wouldn't be against him moving on. Ejaria is a skilful playmaker so I don't think we would miss him too much. I would prefer we sold Swift rather than Moore. +1 If we sold Moore he would need to be replaced when Miazga and Blackett are likely to go. Morr...

Re: Best XI in your lifetime. (Excluding the 106 team)

Pretty sure there were some shenanigans going on behind the scenes involving Butler's wife and another member of staff, maybe Pardew ? IIRC, he also got a nasty ankle injury which really set him back. That was Martin Allen. Think it was a factor in Pardew sacking him as I seem to remember in an int...

Re: What got you into supporting RFC?! And when you did who was your nearest team?

Memorable missed game - first game at the Madstad v Luton coincided with my dear little brother getting married. For me, there are two. Derby title clinching game in 2006, wanted to go but couldn't get tickets. Had a feeling after the Watford game the previous month that we might win promotion that...

Re: What got you into supporting RFC?! And when you did who was your nearest team?

Got into football in 1995, firstly the Premiership and then started following the local teams, partly I think after discovering someone at school was a Reading fan. Have wondered at times whether he goes to games (presume he did at the time), or posts on here. This was during the playoff season. The...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

Reading the article yesterday it suggested it would be on the Facebook Watch page? If that isn't the case then a bit confused about where to find it. Tbh, given my track record of watching streams, including the youth this season, we've probably got more chance of winning if I don't watch... Edit - ...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by hopeless at home

Apparently his ankle was heavily strapped. tbh, I've become less impressed with Morrison over the course of the season. Still a good player, and a good signing, but I do think next year we should be looking to McIntyre to start over him It's a good job Miazga could play as JLow said that Blackett w...

Re: MATCHWATCH : Barnsley (h) sponsored by hopeless at home

Could see us playing 5-3-2 on Tuesday which would solve the selection dilemma but it depends on Miazga's recovery. He said on BBC Berks after the game that he's not 100% fit yet.

Re: Second season success stories

Doyle started off on the bench and it was only an injury to Kitson against Burnley that got him starting games. He started scoring pretty much as soon as he got in the starting lineup. Yes that’s how I remember it. And he changed that game against Burnley when he came on. I remember saying during t...

Nicky Shorey is the guest on TalkSport at the moment Just caught up with this, was on from just after 11 until 12 on Thu night. Not much that came as a surprise but good nonetheless. There was an interesting story which I assumed was from his time at Reading. He said he was doing some coaching and ...

Re: Royals on the Box/Internet Thread

I’m currently in Cardiff for work will finish at 7pm right next to the stadium, and have a free ticket. Couldn’t be arsed though. Does anyone know if it’s on TV/sky/stream? Royals and Racers posted on a previous page that it's not on the Sky Red Button. I'm guessing this is because it counts as a w...
