Re: RIP Ronnie Blackman

Speaking to my dad on Saturday, he was reminiscing about how dominant Blackman was in the air, so I'm not surprised to read that he scored most of his goals with his head.

Re: BFTG - Burnley

Jack Celliers The shame, embarrassment and guilt of being such a despicable diving cheat has got to play on the mind of a player who has done something like that, surely, and it seemed so unlikely that he would be 100% focused on scoring.

Never seemed to bother Andy Johnson.

Re: BFTG Wolves

Brian has been here for 12 or 13 games. There is no real sign of improvement. It’s not unreasonable to wonder whether he is the right man for the job. That doesn’t make you a moron, disloyal or whatever other insults are being bandied around. If you enjoyed yesterday’s game, and think the contribut...

Re: CONFIMRED - Blackman to Derby

We're not going up this year.
Blackman would've been off in the summer for free anyway.
Better to cash in now & build for the long term.

Should've waited until next Wednesday though.
And wasn't Matt Mills just following the manager's instructions when he kept pinging those long balls that led to 'MillsGate' ?
Yes he was. And that manager was Brendan Rodgers. We won that game (from a penalty won following one of Mills's long balls). No way was Bodgers the manager.

Thankfully neither of the Nevilles are available.

Moyes would be best, but unlikely. Pearson acceptable.

Re: BFTG Huddersfield (H)

Piazon clearly isn't interested in playing on the left side of midfield - kept running away from the ball & at one point had a go at Obita for daring to pass to him.

Last 5 minutes of the first half he switched with Vydra & looked to get involved. But too little too late.

Re: BFTG - Fulham

Piazon looked pretty good in the first half when Fulham stood off him & he had time & space to knock it around. Second half they got tight on him with predictable results. Can't say we were cruising at 2-0 when that scoreline only existed for about 30 seconds. First goal came from a poor cle...

My 100% losing record at Craven Cottage continues.
Very good first half, but as soon as we got our second we just fell apart at the back. Didn't see that coming at all.

Am I the only one who didn't like that 10 minutes of passing sideways? Would you rather we risk giving it away & conceding on the break? The 3 points were in the bag. Keeping them was the priority. Charlton weren't going anywhere. There's a happy medium that wasn't met and they were ripe for th...

Re: Opposition fans back from the game

Haven't missed a home game yet, but this was my first away trip of the season. Football is a game of very fine margins which the best team doesn't always win, but while it's true that we might have just managed to hang on today to earn a very fortunate draw, especially if Patrick Bauer hadn't recei...
