Re: Anything to be positive about?

I am very positive because we have a world class manager with a world class plan. That will be the same whether we are in the Championship, League 1 or get relegated to League 2 next season. BR will still be world class.

Re: The Secret Diary of Brendan Rodgers Aged 36 3/4

Well I woke up this morning feeling really pleased with myself. It is fantastic when a world class plan starts coming together. The QPR match last night just could not have gone any better. The first part of my plan to disillusion, frustrate and alienate the fans is nearly complete. I am not sure ex...

Re: RODGERS OUT. END OF

I have not given up hope yet. We have 3 of our next 4 at home - all winnable and Coventry away - also winnable. We have just played Preston, Boro, West Brom and QPR in a row (all potential top 6) and have 3 points - which is more than some thought we would get from those 4 games. I am giving BR unti...

Re: Comparison - League starts 13 games in

If by some miracle we win the next 3 games (not impossible with two at home and Coventry away) we will have exactly the same points (19) as we achieved from the equivalent 16 fixtures last season. based on the equivalent league positions of the new teams- Newcastle = Wolves Boro = Brum WBA = Burnle...

A bit tough on Karacan as he was best player on Saturday. Is he being punished for getting frustrated with BR?

Re: Simon Cox

All teams would like a 20 league goal a year striker but in the last 7 Championship seasons put together only 22 players have managed more than 20 league goals in a season (an average of 3 per season) - only Harewood and Ebanks-Blake appear on that list twice and no Reading FC player has managed the...

Brenda you are a c0ck! http://www.getreading.co.uk/sport/football/readingfc/s/2059205_rodgers_reading_fc_still_lacking_my_type_of_player “But we probably don't have the type of player, at the moment, to do what we want them to do. I've been able to reflect on what I need, the problem is I may not b...

You may be right Strap BUT who are we going to get that is better? My point earlier is that changing course could well make a difficult situation impossible.

Re: Second-half problems

I have to say that fitness bother me too. Taking Long as an example I thought he really came on at the start of last season and I had high hopes of him BUT this season he DOES look a stone heavier and a yard slower. If I am right there can be no excuse for that from either player or manager.

Re: Super Super Rodgers

Why deluded? Curbs has worked on a shoe-string at Charlton in the past. The clubs not a million mailes away from where he lives, he's been out of work for a while etc etc... Hi Pearcey I actually posted that before reading your comments so it was not aimed specifically at you. But if he came here h...

Re: Super Super Rodgers

Frankly I think we have no choice but to stick with Rodgers whatever the consequences. Let's face it what are the alternatives. Anyone who thinks that say Alan Curbishley would come here under the current regime is deluded. The other hope that some have is that Steve Coppell will return. Again I wou...

andrew1957 Feeling more confident for no apparent reason whatsoever (probably just seems a long time since we played).

We will be flying up the table in no time.

Re: Robson-Kanu

And if he played a decent 4-4-2 formation I'd be extremely tempted to have Davies feature as well. In fact I'd have him in the three man midfield instead of Howard, with Karacan & Siggurdsson. Given how poor Cummings has been, I'd even be tempted to go for this: Federici Davies Mills O'Dea Bert...

Re: Jay Tabb loan move......

I have to say this would be strange. From what I have seen Tabb is a far better player than Howard and he always gives 100%.
