Re: BFS - Bristol City (H)

Not sure if someone has already mentioned this but the City Fans Forum preceded their discussions on the game with a 'summary' of their opponents. I have never seen such a comprehensive essay on our team by an opposition website before!! If you haven't done so yet, take a look at - https://www.otib...

Re: Sjm country pad for sale

If it wasnt for the way the economy is likely to be totally oxf*rd post Covid and Bexit, it might make a decent investment opportunity. Bit ostentatious and cavernous for my tastes. In my experience it's not so much the asking price as the upkeep with places like that. Bad experience with mock Arts...

Re: Sjm country pad for sale

He's gonna need Nick Hammond to broker that deal - it's probably 3-5M overpriced.

Also - the thought of SJM and Cilla in that open-sided marble shower... It's a difficult vvank.

Hey Royal Forester - Mick is a relative - I don't spose you have any other memories of his playing days that I could pass on to him? I've heard more about his time at Portsmouth when they were top of Div2 (as it was then) - and him having the hardest shot in the League at the time (something run by...

Re: Sone Aluko

I remember Micky Travers kicking a ball back to Arthur Wilkie(?) from the half way line. It bounced in front of our goalie and sailed over his head into the net. it was bad enough being the only goal of the match, but at Elm Park against Oxf*rd.......? Hey Royal Forester - Mick is a relative - I do...

Re: Marc McNulty arrested for match fixing

I used to think one or more members of the squad were doing this a few years back. I used to sit around Y23 / hw line with my lad - and every game without fail when we kicked off we would smash the ball diagonally out to Shane Long (I think - might have been Noe Hunt) - except it’s was always @ 100m...

Re: Enjoying or hating the no football era?

Alternatively depending on the time frame of coronavirus would be to indefinitely delay the season with the aim of resuming it around the November time or so and not having a 2020/2021 season at all. Wouldn't happen but would be fairer. Do you think they'd have to not allow any transfers between no...

Re: BFT well I don’t know what to call it without resorting to a lot of naughty words

Our owners have some cash, so provided we can shift big-earners (I'm sure there will be takers for Moore and Swift) and we cut cloth accordingly we might be okay. Why can’t we just build a decent committed team that knows what it’s doing? Personally I’d be sounding out, well in advance, new manager...

Coppells Lost Coat Put a player on the bench you have no intention of playing.

I for one am thankful that he put Timbe on the bench - if for no other reason than to quell the pre-game Kenyan Facebook tirade.

In lieu of this - i'm gonna say that he isn't going to be successful.

In fact, you could say I think he's gonna be a Felipe-flop.

Re: BFTG Bristol citeh.

The club are paying the price for not having enough sensible parking. Those places you could park for free or pay for and get out in reasonable time have all gone. In my case I catch the bus. So it normally a wait followed by a crush on the bus when it turns up. Not such a big issue or a reasonable...

Re: Reading FC team of the decade

Can't be @rsed to look back to see if anyone has included him, but the correct answer to the "Best Goalkeeper?" question is Emiliano Martinez. Absolutely hands down(/up) Head and shoulders above the next few, which would prolly be AAH and then a penalty-area toss up between Fedders and Ale...

Re: Next Manager

Heard Hughton on a talkSPORT phone in prolly a month ago where he talked about his potential 'next role' - and iirc it sounded very much like he was prepared to hold out for a Prem job (or at the very least a club with a significant chance of being back there in the short term). Obvs his perspective...

Re: Next Manager

I'm strangely warming to the probability without being a massive supporter of it as a move. I think that would sum up my feelings to it. One thing that the last 4 managers have in common is they all seem proper decent guys. Everyone who knew or met Stam loved him, know people who worked with him pr...
