Re: BBC Radio Berks

Don't understand why Dellor and Berks get such a hard time. In terms of an managerial appointment, this one had no margin for error, staring at relegation and with a oversized and under performing squad, we need someone who could come in and hit the ground running. This appointment was left field, n...

Re: CONFIMRED José Gomes

I'm trying to work this one out, maybe someone can help me... So we sack Stam, who was playing a possession style of football and was sleep walking us into relegation, with teams allowing us 60% possession and countering our obvious weaknesses. We then appoint Clement who was supposed to get us out ...

Re: New Manager

The club has been railroaded by Joorabchian into getting a Portuguese coach. Has it? Is there anything at all to back this up other than piss poor websites that simply print Joorabchian press releases verbatim? At one time he had ownership of a swathe of Portuguese based players, 3rd party ownershi...

Re: BFTG - Stokies

Can you defend Clement after that? The change (starting line up) he needed was made way too late. First half we were lucky to be 1-0. McNulty upfront on his own was a travesty. Half asleep 45-55. Lucky to be 2-2. When will the madness end? Please nobody @ me with we were good for the first xxx minut...

Thought he was excellent, and just what we need at the moment. Nothing flashy skills or ability wise, but high work rate and willing to get up and down the pitch, make tackles and move the ball on.

Re: David Meyler - Reading's biggest ever mercenary?

Called this before he'd even played a game. Do the club do due diligence on signings [Rhetorical]? Just look at the guys twitter.

Hasn't got the character for a fight, no way he'll be knuckling down and training hard to win his place back.

Clement really has lost it.

Show me one season where Aluko has consistently been a 'really good player'?

Closest he got was that last season at Fulham, and we were stupid enough to buy him.

Re: [POLL] Is Aluko really that poor?

Seems totally devoid of a football brain, which is a shame, because he has the ability to be a half decent player.

If you look at his career history, his time with Reading is not a great deviation from the norm - i.e. he hasn't been very good.

Is there really any doubt about the detrimental effect this guy has had behind the scenes? Asides form the reports that are coming out now, he speaks like someone who has a big ego and can do no wrong / nothing is his fault when interviewed. Departures of key members of staff, weird decisions on con...

Re: Protest

Sounds ridiculous but the more I think about it surely it's not far off. The club is becoming a joke. - Owners that haven't really introduced themselves to fans, or say a word about their plans. But employ a clearly limited Ron Gourlay, to be their main man. - Shocking transfer activity, overpaying ...

Re: Clement

Despite the Norwich disaster will give him a few more games. Lose to Hull and then Brentford and not sure how he can hold on from there Why did we start so lethargically? Didn’t wake up until 30 mins gone. Then yet another appalling defensive lapse? Mentality we are utterly feeble at home. No idea ...

Re: Clement

At this club it appears that we now have a DOF who pretty much handles all the transfers. So Clements job is training, picking our best team / formation, managing the games. So, without knowing much about about his training I can safely say he fails on the other two. Playing 4231 or 4321 etc aganst ...

Team I would go with, Bacuna did OK yday. Meite is the best we have at winning headers and being physical up against defenders. Sims looks bright so far. We urgently need another CM in on loan. I really dont think being relegated would be a good way to start rebuilding. There is no guarantee we would bounce back quickly and gates would drop even further. We need to try and consolidate this season with a view to being more ambitious in the following seasons. Tbh, i really don't see much di...

Re: Liam Moore Hypocrite or Hero?

Fair enough question if you ask me. If you think he’s a hero you’re basically saying he’s doing us a favour staying, and we wouldn’t be able to do better without him or sign a replacement that is equal or greater. Are you really a Reading fan in that instance? The club should be bigger than one play...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

Agree - he would have been 4th choice. The Dunk/Duffey partnership is well established over 2 seasons and probably the main reason BHA stayed up comfortably. Which begs the question, how little regard does he hold Reading in if he fancies going to Brighton to be in all likelihood a 3rd / 4th choice...

Re: Liam Moore to Brighton

If he wants to play in the PL then moving to Brighton was not a good option. He would have never been a regular starter there. Agree - he would have been 4th choice.
