At the risk of annoying Finch in sounding like STAR CAMPAIGNS; the system is one started by RFC because it achieves what they want so the fact that you do not want a rewards system is slightly irrelevant as that is exactly what RFC do want. It may not suit everyone in the way it allows the club to ...

I have asked for suggestions for a 'fairer' way but have not had any yet. I am not sure how offering an incentive is blackmail. The system should be in place to recognise and reward the fans that make the effort to go to games. Having such a massive number of points for a single game means that you...

I don't think Long has got the either the technique or awareness to play in the Premiership yet and I agree that if he's getting plenty of chances to play then we're probably going to be struggling. His role will be as backup to our three 'senior' forwards and he'll be used to sit on the bench when ...

Do STAR have any intention of lobbying the club to use the royalty system in a more sensible way so as to reward fans in a fairer system? The latest example of blackmailing fans to come to a pre-season friendly is extremely insulting to me, and doesn't fit with the aim that the points are there to h...

Re: Kitson in the Premiership

I think Long is likely to be as good as/better than KD (something I hear from those that knew them both at Cork too) - just needs pitch time. Long has the physical attributes to be a good player but technically and in his understanding of the game he is miles away at the moment. Thats not to say he...

Arch talking about Lita He could well emerge as the pure striker England sadly lack. He strikes the ball immaculately and has a great sense of balance around the goal.

He broke his ankle falling over trying to take a shot!!!

I agree with many so far, I have lingering doubts that Kitson might not be able to make the step up. That applies to pretty much all our squad though! With Kitson I think the key factors will be if he can stay fit and how motivated he is to work hard for the team like he did when he had a point to p...

The points system needs some tweaking thats for sure. I am dumbfounded that the club is basically blackmailing fans into buying a ticket for a pre-season friendly by offering 20 points for a ticket. I thought the system was set up to be able to recognise those fans more loyal to the club, this is go...

I may be wrong but the opposition for a home friendly cannot be from a lower league so it seems to me it has to be a foreign team (and as the SPL is from a different country don't Rangers and Celtic qualify as foreign?). Is this really true? I can't see how or why this would be a Premiership ruling.

The most prestigous of the options is the Prem, FA and CL, as won by Utd in '99. I agree its completely pointless comparing platers, teams and even achivements across era's. So much changes that it's nowhere near a true comparison although that doesn't stop it being an interesting debate! Utd's achi...
