Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

This story is a delight! http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-england-surrey-44356512 Puncheon admits attacking a bouncer with a belt. The last bit: In a twist at the end of the hearing, Bromley footballer Ben Chorley, of Oakfield Lane, Dartford, was charged with contempt of court He is accused of taking a ph...

Insane idea

Some of us were chatting down the bar earlier, and I thought you might enjoy the result... An idea, where football meets the X Factor, meets major marketing money making scheme.... Knock out competition (ala LC FAC etc etc) for lower league teams- but staged so that say the last 4 /8/16 qualify for ...

Re: The footballer gets arrested thread

Not a footballer, but it seems the Forest owner is facing charges in Greece of drug running. It follows a shit load of heroin being found on one of his ships (he is a shipping magnate), if in any way true, it will be prolly biggest lolz ever. I say this even as a proper Notts lass.

Hoop Blah Looks like there's a job going at RFC now!

Is that why this forum was over-run with bots pushing drugs earlier? To help with the meltdown....can't say I've dared view the TB, Twitter is bad enough

My main memory of Mad Dog is the warm up in the Preston half of the pitch back in the day when I was just learning to love Rfc. Them were the days eh lads? Walsall was a tough place to go...

Re: Best/Worst Pundit

No great loss to punditry tbh, his co-commentary in particular is woeful. I agree with SFers that people really need to stop being pcunts just because they've spotted someone famous but it really didn't take much to provoke Carragher. His reaction is way over the top. 'greed. Some people can be pcu...

Re: Davide Astori - RIP

Haven't seen any official confirmation in English but quite a few journalists are saying that Fiorentina have today renewed Astori's contract (€25k a week) with the wages being paid to his family and it continuing to run for the lifetime of his daughter. that's a real touch of class from them I wou...

Good draw.....hope we somehow manage to get through as I’m in Reading 4th Round weekend ....(Home Draw please) That'll be nailed on for Mansfield away then. I’d just cancel my trip south and travel over from Chesterfield  Actually, Mansfield away would be a cracking away day.....how man...

Re: Lump on Reading to finish top half

This is what happens when betting companies have automated all their trading....and the algos are reliant on stats.....people who actually watch the games have a far more realistic* expectations...we can see that we have added pace and scoring potential- but we don't have a '20+ goalscorer'- our exp...

It wouldn't work in this instance anyway....while Swansea and Everton are in different countries, they both play under English FA rules....Celtic could be classed as a different country....

Re: Favourite signing this window?

Mo Barrow. I probably even saw him play 15 years ago! I have watched a lot of Gambian football, and nawettans are a big deal....much like Brazil, ALL kids play football- and I have seen some incredible skills from kids who wouldn't know a training acadamy if it hit them in the face. Whatever positio...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Undoubtedly ^^ good suggestions....I am hopeless at names, wasn't there a ?Spanish player a few years back, used to wear a silly headband instead of a decent haircut- went for a shit load of cash from ? Liverpool, to somewhere like ?Chelsea (or the other way) and went from scoring every game almost,...

Re: The generic transfer thread

It isn't a point. It's a fact. You have got to be absolutely sh1tting us on this. You are saying that Danny Drinkwater is better then Steven Gerrard No. I'm saying Drinkwater won the Premier League and Gerrard didn't. Do you think any player in a team who win a competition, is better than a player ...

Re: The generic transfer thread

I know it's been said, but this transfer window is nuts, isn't it? Monaco holding out for £90m for Thomas Lemar, that would be the third highest fee in history, and more than Paul Pogba, who moved just over a year ago having amassed around 40 France caps and won every domestic trophy at Juventus. L...

Re: The generic transfer thread

Great signing, proper coup that. Sky saying that one reason they got him is because they are not playing European football. Paul Clement has contacts at Bayern, no? Yes, that was the other thing they said, but apparently Bayern don't want him playing against them...which is fair enough. Burnley hav...
